00:00 Do you have concerns about Kyle Shanahan in this spot?
00:07 Andy Reid's not perfect either. Let's just say that.
00:10 It's very difficult to be perfect in this spot.
00:13 It's why I believe coaches in the offseason need to undergo some of the stress tests and training
00:22 that some of the guys in the military get put forth.
00:26 Some of the guys making the key decisions in the military, some of that level of training.
00:29 You have to make decisions under pressure and you have split seconds to make those decisions.
00:34 You have to get the right personnel in and you have to get the right play call in.
00:37 You don't have very much time. It's on such a big stage and the stakes are so high.
00:41 Bad play, boom, you might be putting the ball, turn over the ball, good play, you could be winning the Super Bowl.
00:47 There's so much pressure on these coaches, especially because they are the head coaches.
00:53 They're in charge of everything plus they also are calling all of the plays.
00:58 It's very difficult for both of these guys.
01:01 Not necessarily an enviable position that they're putting themselves into,
01:05 but the glory is theirs if they come out on top.
01:08 Since we have not seen Kyle Shanahan thrive in this spot and we have seen him struggle,
01:17 you have to give the edge to Andy Reid just by default.
01:20 That said, I do think that a lot of people look at Kyle Shanahan and think,
01:24 "Oh, he can't get it done." I think that's a bunch of bull.
01:27 I think Kyle Shanahan is one of the best coaches that we have in the NFL.
01:31 I'm sort of leaning towards the Chiefs here, but if I wasn't on the Chiefs,
01:38 I would be wanting the 49ers just because I want to throw the narrative in the garbage that Kyle can't do it,
01:43 because he's one of the best coaches out there.
