00:00 The Mississippi State baseball team had another disappointing season in 2023 and
00:06 now all eyes of the fans are on head coach Chris Limones. The Bulldogs were
00:12 coming off of three consecutive trips to the College World Series before the last
00:18 two seasons. The expectation is simple going into 2024, get back to being one of
00:24 the most elite programs in college baseball. At some point Mississippi State
00:31 must decide whether or not they want to be among the elite programs because
00:37 elite programs do not settle for merely making the tournament. Since Mississippi
00:44 State has two all-american type players Dakota Jordan and Hunter Hines, this
00:49 season should not be considered a rebuilding season for the team. Duty
00:55 Noble Field is routinely packed with up to 16,000 fans and that is not normal
01:02 for college baseball. So the expectations should always be high for this program. A
01:08 program that has reached sports mountaintop and has been a routine
01:13 visitor to the College World Series should never waver on expectations,
01:19 especially with talent on the roster. If postseason baseball is not being played
01:26 at Polk DeMott Stadium, this year has been disappointing.
