00:03 - I agree with the assertion by Chairman
00:28 of the Assembly Hall,
00:30 Senan, who emphasized the importance
00:34 of focusing on the economy.
00:36 I've suggested that 2024, with political stability,
00:41 with a strong government,
00:44 Malawi government, we must focus on economic development,
00:49 investments, and expanding our capabilities
00:53 and capacity in all fields.
00:56 (audience applauding)
00:59 The cabinet has endorsed this
01:04 and has been told to really focus
01:09 to ensure that Malaysia becomes a great nation in the region.
01:14 It has the capacity, it is peaceful,
01:18 it has Bahasa, of course, a national language,
01:22 it has a rich culture,
01:24 and this is one country that's really,
01:28 that have so many people, proficient in Bahasa,
01:31 proficient in English, proficient in Mandarin, in Tamil.
01:35 This is our source of strength to attract investors,
01:40 knowing that it is a peaceful country
01:43 with better quality of education,
01:45 which we will have to give more every season from now.
01:49 So we have perceived the country
01:54 in somewhat of uncertainty in terms of their focus,
01:59 particularly in economic development,
02:01 but as I've said, this year,
02:04 the focus is quality education, better health services,
02:09 and the fundamental focus on economic success,
02:14 economic development through investments and policies
02:19 that would be able to attract domestic
02:22 and foreign investments.
