00:00 >> By saying I thank God for giving us this platform at Baylor.
00:05 College game day, great atmosphere, great opportunity for us.
00:08 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:13 I thought offensively, Kansas really did a good job forcing 21 turnovers.
00:18 Take responsibility offensively for our spacing and
00:21 that was really the difference in the game and we gotta do a better job.
00:26 And you're not gonna beat anybody quality let alone Kansas at Kansas with 21
00:31 turnovers.
00:32 So that was the area that we'll focus on the most and
00:37 try to get better at to have swings to win games like that.
00:40 >> KU, what was kind of the difference when you all had big runs versus when KU
00:42 did today since it felt like we're a variable game and
00:45 some of the other games for you all this season?
00:46 >> Again, I mean, I'm happy with 43% holding them to defensively.
00:52 We win games like that.
00:53 We did a great job on the glass.
00:56 15 four second chance points, we can win games like that.
01:00 They only had eight turnovers and we had 21.
01:02 I mean, my home throw six picks, they ain't winning tomorrow.
01:07 So I mean, that's plain and simple.
01:08 And we've been really good at taking care of the basketball.
01:13 And we didn't see this one coming as far as that.
01:19 >> And Eve, you had 21 points, go 9 of 12 from the free throw line,
01:23 maybe your best performance this season.
01:24 What was working well for you today offensively?
01:26 >> I was just trying to play the game I wasn't forced to.
01:31 Whatever it was, I was just trying to score more, get my team up close.
01:38 >> And Scott, is there any update you can give us right now on Langston's status and
01:41 when he might be available again?
01:42 >> I wish I could.
01:44 He's working to get back and he's a tough kid.
01:47 And once he can go, he'll go.
01:49 And we're hopeful it's gonna happen today.
01:52 And he would have played, but it wouldn't have been effective.
01:57 >> And then Scott, I know now between the K-State game and this one,
02:01 you've had four really good three-point looks at the end of the game.
02:04 Kinda didn't mean to make you feel bad about what's going on in Kansas, but-
02:07 >> Yeah, I didn't get that question.
02:07 >> I know it's bad, it's bad on my part.
02:08 But Scott, with those four looks, is that kind of a,
02:10 you like where you all are going with the looks you're getting?
02:12 Or is the heartbreak kind of really hitting you all right now?
02:15 >> I mean, it's basketball.
02:17 And for everything, Shel says it best.
02:19 Good coach, bad coach.
02:20 Good coach, bad coach.
02:21 Good team, bad team.
02:22 And I mean, end of the day, we needed a three.
02:26 And K-State, we probably could have gotten some twos.
02:30 Or at least on one of the shots, we could have.
02:34 But I was really proud that Jaden had that look.
02:39 And Jacoby had that look.
02:41 And Jacoby had another look too, I think, in the corner.
02:44 It was really good.
02:45 It's hard getting good players good looks.
02:47 So at the end of the day, the best shooters in the country are gonna make four out of ten.
02:54 So you gotta get the six that you miss, and we didn't get enough.
02:57 >> Coach, was it hard to prepare not knowing about McCullough?
03:03 I assume that was kind of a surprise.
03:07 >> I think them, us not having Langston, them not having Kevin,
03:12 that probably changed some things for both of us.
03:14 But that's part of the game.
03:17 I thought Miro did some good things for us.
03:20 He had six rebounds.
03:21 He moved the ball well.
03:25 A lot of one-mores.
03:27 I thought he had an assist in the corner.
03:32 We could have used every one that we could have gotten today.
03:37 But I thought he gave people a chance to step up, and he did.
03:42 They will bet for rebounds, so he gives a good contribution.
