00:29 He was one of over 70 people Palestinian TV reports say were killed overnight in Israeli
00:35 airstrikes on Monday.

00:49 This latest attack by Israel is part of an ongoing campaign which started four months

00:56 The group says it intends to eliminate Hamas, the militant group that governs the Gaza Strip.
01:02 The Israeli military rescued two civilian hostages during the mission on Rafah.
01:07 There were hugs and tears of relief as they reunited with their families on the outskirts
01:12 of the Israeli city Tel Aviv on Tuesday.

01:23 The hostages were among a group taken by Hamas militants who raided Israel on October 7 last
01:29 year, during which some 1,200 people died.
01:34 That attack led to Israel's campaign to destroy Hamas in the Gaza Strip, killing over 28,000
01:40 Palestinians, mostly women and children, according to reports.
01:44 International organizations have condemned Israel's latest actions in Rafah, where some
01:50 1.5 million Palestinians are sheltering from the fighting.
01:54 On Tuesday, the United Nations Human Rights Office called for a ceasefire.
02:00 "The prospect of such an operation into Rafah risks further atrocity crimes.
02:06 The world must not allow this to happen.
02:09 Those with influence must restrain rather than enable.
02:13 There must be an immediate ceasefire."
02:16 Israel has said it will not end the war until it achieves total victory over Hamas.
02:21 But with buildings reduced to rubble, family members lost and hopes for survival diminishing,
02:27 for the people living in the Gaza Strip, an end to the conflict could not come soon enough.
