00:00 (upbeat music)
00:03 - I hear that Woods goes through more prep
00:07 on a table than an NFL player.
00:10 Like he literally is for two hours before he plays,
00:15 getting massages and getting stretched
00:18 and cranking his hips and his back
00:21 and his legs and his ankle.
00:23 And then he goes from there to the range
00:26 and has to do another litany of exercises
00:30 just to be able to go to the first tee.
00:33 Now I said to you before in the break,
00:35 if you can't get out of your car
00:38 and grab your bag, pay for your round
00:40 and go to the first tee and start swinging, it's over.
00:44 I mean, it's simple.
00:45 Like do you think Rory McIlroy can't legitimately,
00:49 if he wanted to, get out of the car?
00:51 I know they don't do this 'cause they always warm up
00:53 and go to the range and do all this stuff.
00:55 But I know he could get out of his car
00:57 and if he was late, traffic jam, final round on Sunday,
01:01 he could get right out of his car
01:02 and go to the first tee and start swinging
01:04 and hit the ball 325 yards.
01:06 Tiger Woods has to go through an amazing cascade
01:11 of exercises and stretching just to play.
01:14 And that's just all you need to know, but he's finished.
01:18 He just can't do it anymore.
01:19 And everyone's fascination with him is aside,
01:23 we all know how great he is and how great he was.
01:25 And that's what he is, he's was.
01:28 - And I think that that's the expectation
01:31 that people have to have when a weekend like this
01:34 comes around and look, you're only gonna get,
01:36 and this is if he's completely healthy
01:39 and not having ankle surgeries and doing this and doing that.
01:42 If he's completely healthy, you're only getting them five,
01:47 maybe six times in the whole year.
01:50 He's always gonna play this, Masters, PGA, US Open
01:54 and the British, and that's if he can even make it to July,
01:58 if he plays in that one.
01:59 So I think when people see him playing,
02:02 I think you going in, you know, he's not there to win.
02:05 Now people still run to the window
02:07 and bet him at 150 to one and 175 to one.
02:10 And he's the most tickets every time he plays.
02:13 - And they lose their money.
02:15 - And they lose their money.
02:16 And the sports books love that.
02:17 They love when Tiger plays
02:18 because everybody goes to the window
02:21 and starts firing away on Tiger Woods.
02:23 I mean, look at all these numbers he's got this week.
02:25 I mean, he's 125 to one.
02:27 I mean, look at these numbers, top five, top 10, top 20,
02:30 make the cut.
02:32 I think if you want to play anything with him today,
02:34 which we did, we had a couple of things just for today,
02:37 Thursday, I don't want any part of him
02:39 dragging his leg around on Saturday or Sunday.
02:41 I don't want anything to do with it.
02:42 You just don't, but we love the nostalgia.
02:45 We love watching him play.
02:47 And he will always be there, like you said,
02:49 as an ambassador of this game.
02:50 I told you he's going to play the Masters
02:52 until they won't let him go to the tee box anymore,
02:54 like these other old guys do.
02:56 He'll keep showing up at Augusta every spring
02:58 until they force him to hit that ceremonial first tee shot,
03:03 like Gary Player does now and like Jack does.
03:05 He's going to do the regular tournament
03:08 as long as he possibly can.
03:08 - He's going to be Fred Couples.
03:10 I mean, Freddie is my boy.
03:13 I'm friends with Fred and he shows up every year
03:16 at the Masters and plays great until Sunday, right?
03:20 Like he can't win it and neither can Tiger.
03:23 It's over.
03:24 It's over.
03:24 It's a young man's game.
03:26 That's it.
03:27 It's a young man's game.
