The Miami Hurricanes have received a pair of 247Sports crystal ball predictions to land Las Vegas Bishop Gorman interior offensive lineman Seuseu "SJ" Alofaituli.
Transcript
00:00 Miami did recently land offensive tackle Lamar Williams out of the Tallahassee area, who's a giant at like six foot seven.
00:07 And now predictions are coming in a pair of 24/7 sports.
00:12 Crystal balls have come in from Miami to land four star interior offensive lineman, six foot three, two hundred ninety pound
00:23 Susu Alofaituli.
00:27 He goes by SJ and I'm going to call him SJ because that name of his is formidable.
00:33 But this is exactly the kind of player we want to be making up Miami's offensive line for years to come.
00:39 And again, this is not a this is not a commitment.
00:41 This is a projection, a pair of crystal balls.
00:44 Tom Loy of 24/7 and Gabby Arrutia of 24/7 have put in predictions from Miami to land SJ, who is one of the better interior O-linemen in the country.
00:55 He's a four star.
00:56 Now he can play guard or center, but I think Miami's looking at him probably to fill the center position.
01:03 Comes out of a powerhouse high school program, Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas.
01:07 I'm sure you've heard of it by now.
01:09 His former teammate, Elijah Lofton, who played for Bishop Gorman, just signed with Miami in the class of twenty twenty four.
01:16 So when it comes to Alofaituli, Michigan, Oregon, Alabama, Texas A&M, among others, are still in it for SJ.
01:26 But of course, the projections are pointing to Miami being the favorite right now.
01:30 I don't even think he's visited yet.
01:32 I think he's got a visit coming up soon, but he's had great conversations with Cristobal Mirabal and company.
01:37 And guys, this this is a blue chip center.
01:40 This is a a top 24/7 guy.
01:42 This is a four star guy.
01:45 And when it comes to blue chip centers, this is something Miami has needed to land in recruiting.
01:50 Like they've got to get one in this cycle.
01:52 Like you remember two cycles ago, twenty twenty three, Miami for a while had a commitment from Connor Lew, but he ended up flipping to Auburn.
02:01 And I thought at the time Lew was the best center recruit in the country.
02:05 I still feel he was because the reviews he's getting from Auburn folks are tremendous so far.
02:11 I think he's going to end up being one of the best centers in in America.
02:14 Miami missed out on him, so I hope we don't miss out on this one.
02:17 So over the past two years, hurricanes have done a nice job grabbing experienced centers, grabbing stopgap guys in the transfer portal.
02:26 Matt Lee in twenty twenty three.
02:28 Now Miami's gotten Zach Carpenter from Indiana, who I think is really good.
02:31 But these are one year guys developing your own guys from the ground up, I think is key.
02:37 And that's exactly what Mirabal and Cristobal put so much pride in is developing these guys from the ground up.
02:42 Now, Miami did land what I think is a good center, Nino Frankavilla in the class of twenty twenty four.
02:48 He's more of a of a project, a lesser rated guy.
02:51 I think he could end up being really good here.
02:53 But landing a blue chip type of guy like SJ, this is a bona fide blue chipper and this would be awesome to land.
03:00 Now, I'm going to attempt to say his name one more time.
03:03 Susu Alofaituli.
