00:00 And it's time to take you for a little
00:02 ski trip because usually you're using
00:04 those roads to get to a mountain, right?
00:06 If you're a skier, snowboarder,
00:08 you know what I'm talking about.
00:09 Big Sky getting in on still a little
00:11 bit more moisture as we look across
00:13 the Northwest and you can see we do
00:16 have that chance for snow heading
00:17 into Sunday mainly later in the day.
00:19 2 to 4 inches of snow.
00:21 But look at this a cold day Friday.
00:23 Acuba the real field values in the
00:25 single digits for much of the day,
00:27 so even that sunshine won't really
00:28 feel all that great.
00:30 Keep on the sunscreen underneath
00:31 some of the extra layers that you'll
00:33 need because that will be very important.
00:35 There will take you into white
00:37 phase because here in the Northeast
00:39 as we go into New York we've got the
00:41 snow falling Saturday and Sunday.
00:43 What could be better, right?
00:44 We even have some of that activity on
00:46 Friday mostly through the afternoon.
00:48 Then we'll have some of those
00:50 morning snow showers.
00:51 This is all kind of the lingering
00:53 snow on the backside of that
00:55 secondary storm system which has
00:56 bigger impacts farther South into
00:58 Washington DC which is why Sugarloaf.
00:59 Not quite as much moisture
01:01 heading into the weekend,
01:02 which may be a good thing if you're
01:04 looking for free and easy kind of skiing,
01:06 right?
01:07 This is not so bad as we look
01:09 at the upcoming days,
01:10 but the accurate real field values
01:12 are going to be in the teens here
01:14 and single digits so you do want to
01:16 make sure that you're dressing appropriately.
01:18 Mammoth you'll get in on more moisture
01:20 as we go through the weekend Saturday,
01:22 Sunday at least some chances of snow
01:24 and likely into Monday even more.
01:26 President's Day weekend is this weekend
01:28 and skiers across the country are
01:30 excited to get a little extra time
01:32 on the slopes and once gears been
01:34 making the most of his time is
01:36 active weathers on Lincoln Riddle.
01:38 He's got a goal to get to 100 days on
01:41 the slopes and we last heard from him.
01:44 Back in December he was just 20 days in.
01:47 Now he's at 77.
01:48 Lincoln tells us different weather
01:50 plays condition with different weather
01:52 conditions play into his goal.
01:53 Weather has a huge impact on
01:55 chasing this goal because you're
01:56 dealing with rainy days.
01:58 January was particularly foggy
01:59 and cloudy this year.
02:00 You kind of just have to power through that.
02:03 If you're wanting to get as many ski days in,
02:07 you can't say no to a ski day.
02:09 That's the that's the main
02:11 thing I can tell you about this.
02:13 Reminds me of me and my beach days.
02:16 Well, Lincoln says in years past,
02:18 the highest number he got to
02:20 was 81 days on the slopes,
02:21 but he'll be approaching that
02:23 next week and 100 days by March.
02:25 We wish him the best of luck
02:28 safely on the slopes.
