New Year's Day will come with snow in parts of the Northeast, so what are conditions going to look like on the slopes?

00:00Time to hit the slopes. At least you hope to, right?
00:05Let's take a look at your AccuWeather ski forecast.
00:08I do want to start us off in the northeast because we do have some snow there on the ground.
00:12If you look at our current snow depth, we have a few inches upwards to a foot in a few areas,
00:17though we are going to be adding on some. Let's look at your forecast over the next few days.
00:22Let's first go to Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. Tuesday, basically a bluebird day.
00:29Forty-two, you'll have the sunshine at least throughout most of the day, but don't get used to it
00:34because that rain, that snow, starts to move in by Wednesday. Wet snow, so not the best kind.
00:39Thursday, you're at 27. If we go back out here to the main page, I want to take us out to Whiteface now,
00:45where we are anticipating some similar occurrences, some similar action there with snow on the way.
00:52For New Year's Day, 36 we're dropping down to. We're going to continue to cool down to 27,
00:58but you will get some fresh powder there on the mountain. Sugarloaf, similar story here as well.
01:04A lot of the northeast, interior northeast and northern New England are going to be seeing a lot of the same impacts,
01:10but some of that snow is going to be pretty wet, so not the best day to get out and about on the mountain there.
01:16Wednesday, Thursday, Tuesday, not so bad, especially early in the day.
01:20Let's take you out to some nicer areas where we are anticipating more active weather.
01:26Aspen, Colorado, where we aren't necessarily seeing too much.
01:29Now we do have some concerns, though, for avalanches in and around this area.
01:34So not necessarily in Aspen, but close enough. Heads up. Snow, 27.
01:39Accuathoreal field temperature, 23. Mammoth, you'll have a beautiful bluebird day for New Year's Eve.
