00:00 Good morning. Many of us will see some sunshine throughout today but through
00:04 the next few hours there's still a bit of cloud around and perhaps some
00:07 drizzly rain as well, particularly across the far southeast this morning. We've
00:11 still got the rain clearing from Thursday but also across parts of North
00:15 Wales, north and western England as well as some areas of Scotland. Some drizzly
00:18 showers are possible but I think you'll be fairly unlucky to see anything
00:22 particularly long-lived or heavy. Many areas though should stay dry today and
00:26 as I said there will be some sunshine on offer by the afternoon, particularly
00:29 across the south coast. I think that's where the sunshine will be most
00:33 long-lived but also many areas of Northern Ireland and southern and
00:37 central Scotland seeing some good sunshine this afternoon. The air is still
00:40 quite mild for the time of year. It's not quite as mild as yesterday but we should
00:45 still see highs of around 15 possibly 16 degrees in the south, closer to 11 or 12
00:50 degrees further north and it will also be feeling a little bit milder across
00:55 the far north of Scotland, apart from across the far northern isles where we
00:58 do have a stronger northerly breeze. So that will bring slightly cooler air to
01:02 the far north of Scotland throughout this evening but generally it will be
01:06 another fairly mild night. Some mist and fog around throughout Saturday morning.
01:11 We'll also see some drizzly rain bringing low cloud across the coast of
01:15 Wales, the southwest as well as over the hills as well. So turning a little bit
01:20 murkier by the time we get to Saturday morning from the west but through the
01:24 east it should stay clear and dry through much of the night and the winds
01:27 are fairly light. Temperatures will dip down a little bit lower than last night
01:31 so it'll be a slightly cooler night but we will be frost free to start the
01:35 weekend. There is a bit more cloud and rain to come through the course of
01:39 Saturday as well. This band of heavy rain will gradually make progress towards the
01:44 UK as the day progresses. Particularly Northern Ireland will see that through
01:48 the day, also parts of Wales possibly into the southwest by the end of the day
01:51 as well. The southeast should and central area should stay dry through much of the
01:56 day however as I said it will cloud over as the day goes on. We've still got a
02:00 southerly breeze though so it will be feeling very mild and probably a bit
02:05 muggy once again. The band of quite heavy and blustery rain will push eastwards
02:10 through the course of Saturday evening and that should clear by Sunday morning.
02:15 So Sunday looks like it should be a fairly fine day as we get a ridge of
02:18 higher pressure developing for a time so still some sunshine to end the weekend.
