WHEN Arrogrance spotted Zyion at a barbecue, she was smitten. Recalling the story to Love Don't Judge, she explained: "I was like, 'Who is that chocolate drop? I need him, I'm going to get him.'" And that's exactly what she did. The pair fell in love and married, but throughout their relationship, Zyion had spent time behind bars. He said: "By the time I'm done with this ankle bracelet, I've given the adult prison system 10 years of my life." During his most recent stint behind bars, Arrogrance doted on her man, spending over $80,000 on new clothes, cologne and lobster dinners. Documenting her life as a prison wife online, she encountered lots of negativity. Arrogrance admitted: "Social media is crazy. We have seen a lot of judgement. Basically, what do I get out of holding me down in prison? This guy said I was glorifying prison." While Zyion was in jail, the couple were allowed conjugal visits, which led to them conceiving their baby, who is due in a few months. With Zyion now out of prison, the couple are looking forward to the future, but Arrogrance's sister, Dorothy, still has reservations. Speaking about Zyion, Dorothy said: "I'm just going to ask him, what are you going to do for my sister? Is he going to take care of this kid? Is he going to be there for her? I think he's using her." Ignoring the judgement, Arrogrance concluded: "I just want to let people know, don't listen to outsiders. If you're happy, you're happy."

00:00 This is Arrogance.
00:01 She fell in love with Zeon.
00:03 During their relationship,
00:05 Zeon has spent time in jail.
00:07 I've given this adult prison system
00:09 10 years of my life.
00:10 Arrogance bashed out on her man
00:11 while he was behind bars.
00:13 My wife spent over $80,000 on me
00:15 during my incarceration.
00:17 But not everyone agrees with her decision.
00:19 This guy said I was glorifying prison.
00:21 This ain't just doing TikToks
00:23 and trying to become famous.
00:24 Like, no, this is real life.
00:25 This is what I go through every day.
00:27 I'm just going to ask him, like,
00:29 "What are you going to do for my sister?"
00:30 "Are you going to take care of this kid?"
00:32 "Are you going to be there for her?"
00:34 I think he's using her.
00:35 I'm Arrogance.
00:40 This is my husband, Zeon.
00:41 Zeon has been in and out of jail,
00:43 and people judge me for it.
00:45 Been married going on five years.
00:47 She's thick and thin.
00:48 How old are you, baby?
00:50 I am 33.
00:52 I thought you were 32.
00:55 I thought she was 32.
00:56 I seen him at this barbecue.
00:58 Not knowing he had just got out of prison,
01:00 I was like, "Who is that chocolate drop?"
01:01 And I'm like, "Oh, I need him.
01:03 I'm going to get him."
01:04 Some weeks go by, and my cousin's like,
01:06 "What's up? You ain't hit my homegirl up?"
01:09 I'm like, "She ain't never hit me."
01:10 Lo and behold, she actually did hit me.
01:12 She sent me a pair of eyes, some emojis.
01:15 I'm fresh out of prison.
01:16 I didn't know what an emoji was.
01:18 And I knocked all the,
01:19 how many ever females he had,
01:21 right out the water.
01:22 Bye-bye.
01:23 I believe my first run-in with the law,
01:25 I was 14 years old.
01:27 What started off as just little trips
01:28 to the juvenile institution,
01:30 turned into now long prison terms.
01:33 By the time I'm done with this ankle brace,
01:34 that I've given this adult prison system
01:36 10 years of my life.
01:37 We got married July 9th,
01:39 and then he caught another charge
01:41 that he just recently did time with,
01:43 September 14th, 2019.
01:46 He was then in jail for two different cases at one time.
01:50 I actually got to prison a week before COVID.
01:52 They shut the whole prison down.
01:54 No visits, no nothing.
01:55 We didn't have visits for two years.
01:57 We had video visits for what, a year?
01:59 We got those taken away.
02:00 We got kicked off from the video visits.
02:02 We was doing too much on there.
02:04 It wasn't PG-13, we'll say that.
02:07 Hearing the amount of time I was looking at,
02:09 arrogance felt like,
02:10 well, it's not just you that's involved in this,
02:13 it's us.
02:14 And I think that's what's rare for a person
02:16 to stay down behind that.
02:17 I'm not one of those who are,
02:18 oh, he did the crime,
02:20 so I'm not gonna do the time.
02:21 We're gonna time together, baby.
02:23 I didn't give him no hard time.
02:24 I just worked, went to school, and took care of my kids.
02:26 I surprised him with this.
02:28 I got my whole comforter set customized,
02:31 and it said, "I'll hug this pillow until I can hug you."
02:34 And I kept it on until he got released four years later.
02:37 My wife spent over $80,000 on me during my incarceration,
02:41 and that's why they mad.
02:42 So this is literally one rack full of stuff.
02:45 There's like three or four more.
02:47 I bought everything brand new.
02:49 This is literally one of his favorite polo jackets.
02:53 A lot of stuff I got for him was like sets.
02:55 So expensive stuff.
02:56 Yeah, this old.
03:00 - I know what you guys is thinking,
03:01 but this is my guy, man.
03:03 - This is his cologne collection that I stocked up.
03:07 I like my man to smell good, so.
03:08 This is over $1,000 in cologne right here.
03:11 Social media is just crazy.
03:15 Just because we're a prison wife
03:17 does not mean we're desperate,
03:18 does not mean we're lonely,
03:20 does not mean that we're looking for love.
03:22 We have seen a lot of judgment.
03:23 Basically, what do I get out of holding him down in prison?
03:26 The dedication is too crazy for them.
03:29 - He gonna leave.
03:30 - What benefits am I getting not understanding
03:32 that is deeper than that?
03:34 Obviously, no, I didn't do the crime with him
03:36 because if I did do the crime with him,
03:37 I will be incarcerated.
03:40 This guy said I was glorifying prison.
03:42 No, I am not glorifying prison,
03:44 but what I am doing is embracing my struggle, our struggle.
03:48 - I just say, don't reply.
03:49 If you have the time to write a comment
03:51 about what's going on over here,
03:53 whether negative or positive, you're invested in this.
03:56 That's all hate is, you express the love in a negative way.
03:58 - People need to be woke onto what's going on
04:02 in the real world and how a lot of women and black women
04:05 and a lot of black men are going through this situation.
04:08 - A lot of judgment, but a lot of love as well
04:11 'cause there's millions of people
04:12 going through the same thing as me.
04:14 - I feel for the ones that don't get these trailer visits
04:17 because it's like essential.
04:20 - It took years for us to even get consular visits.
04:22 - I waited two and a half years before I got 'em
04:24 because of COVID and all the extra (beep).
04:26 - You have to be basically a straight A student.
04:28 - We stay in a trailer.
04:30 They're really, really nice.
04:31 No, I don't stay in a cell with my husband in a celly.
04:34 - They have a place that's on the prison compound.
04:37 It's like a little house and you set it up
04:39 how you want during those 48 hours.
04:41 - They have barbecue grills outside.
04:43 - Man, the food that we were eating, the kind of things,
04:45 like we were literally defying the norm in there.
04:48 Like we was in there having it all.
04:50 - You get your bags checked, all your food ran through.
04:53 You go through a metal detector.
04:55 - I remember when that guy thought my wand,
04:57 my hair curler was a vibrator.
04:59 - Yeah, she had a curling iron with a cord,
05:02 brought her to the sergeant's office.
05:04 The person, the CO that brought her in was looking at her
05:06 like- - She was like, "Are you serious?"
05:07 - When she gets there, she likes to clean up, set up.
05:11 - I deep clean before we do anything.
05:13 - I sanitize everything.
05:15 I won't even sit on the couches or I put sheets on everything.
05:19 - I'm telling you, I know the stuff I was doing
05:21 in the conjugal, so I could just imagine
05:23 what others was doing in there.
05:24 - Yeah. - We having a baby.
05:26 - Baby Z was conceived in the trailer.
05:27 The last one's the one that did it.
05:29 Yeah, and arrogance is about to pop here
05:31 in about a month or two.
05:33 - This is some of our baby shower decorations.
05:35 It is Lion King themed, so we're gonna do
05:37 all the safari looking, elegant looking stuff.
05:40 Diaper cake.
05:41 We're gonna really have a good time.
05:43 - My sisters and his family members,
05:45 some of them were very judgmental,
05:48 asking like, "Did we get married
05:49 "because he was gonna do prison time?"
05:51 (knocking)
05:53 Hey, sissy.
05:55 Me and Dorothy are like twins, so we're a year apart.
05:57 - I just love her so much, right?
05:59 So I'm the big sister, so I look after her.
06:01 I just wanna make sure that she's making
06:03 all the right decisions.
06:04 I just felt like he wasn't on her level at the time.
06:07 All of a sudden, he wants to marry her
06:09 after he's fighting a case.
06:11 I'm like, "(beep) that.
06:12 "I think he's using her."
06:14 - We have had our times during his incarceration
06:17 where I had to fall back a little bit
06:18 because she would be judgmental in certain situations.
06:21 - I'm just gonna ask him like,
06:22 "What are you gonna do for my sister?
06:24 "Are you gonna take care of her?
06:25 "Are you gonna take care of this kid?
06:26 "Are you gonna be there for her?"
06:28 - So what did you think when me and Zee started first dating?
06:32 - Hated it.
06:33 - Why?
06:33 - He was just getting out of prison,
06:35 and you was a boss ass (beep).
06:36 - She was like wondering like, "What bills did he pay?"
06:40 Stuff that's out of her concern,
06:41 stuff that's in my household that I don't share with anybody.
06:43 - We's probably spent more money on the phone than anything.
06:46 - I didn't like how much they talked.
06:48 It really irritated my soul.
06:50 We would be talking mid-conversation.
06:52 It's like, "Oh, Zee's calling.
06:54 "I gotta call you back.
06:55 "Zee calling, shh."
06:56 - David had just talked 10 minutes ago,
06:59 and he's calling again.
07:00 I'm like, "What do you guys have to talk about?"
07:03 I think she probably spent $1,000 in a week on phone calls,
07:07 which was ridiculous to me.
07:09 - I wouldn't call if she ain't pick up the phone.
07:11 I ain't gonna harass nobody.
07:12 If people don't have an understanding for it,
07:14 of course they're gonna make assumptions and opinions,
07:16 which is, you know, your person's entitled to that.
07:19 - I don't feel like she lived her life in those four years.
07:21 I think she just was stuck in a rut.
07:24 He needs to prove to me that he's worth
07:27 all that money that she spent,
07:29 because she could've been traveling the world with me.
07:32 - If I would've listened to her or other people,
07:35 I wouldn't be in my relationship.
07:37 And this is the happiest I've been in any relationship.
07:40 - But?
07:41 - She's not in a relationship with him neither,
07:42 so I feel like she's feeling like he needs to prove it
07:45 to her, and that's not the case.
07:47 - Oh, it is.
07:48 Because I'm gonna be on his (beep)
07:50 if he don't treat you good.
07:52 And I'll be right here with him.
07:53 - I think a lot of it is just coming from her feeling
07:57 like somebody's taking her spot,
07:59 or I'm not like that with her relationships at all.
08:02 We're the total opposite.
08:03 - She's all in my business.
08:05 She's all in my business.
08:07 - It's just to a certain extent she needs to let it go.
08:10 Almost been married for five years,
08:11 together for six, and a baby on the way.
08:13 - Yeah, I'm a little--
08:14 - There's a time you need to let it go.
08:15 - I'm calm now, like with the situation.
08:17 I just feel like, okay, you know, he's out.
08:20 Now it's time to build their relationship
08:23 on the outside, not the inside.
08:25 - You know, you can look around and see how far we've come.
08:27 - And we're stronger than relationships that are on the out.
08:30 - Arrogance has definitely elevated my life,
08:33 because being with a woman of her stature,
08:36 you gotta come correct, you gotta, you know,
08:38 you have to grow up.
08:39 - Everybody goes through something,
08:43 so stop being so damn quick to judge.
08:45 - Prison wife, stay strong, Queens,
08:46 and hold it down, stand on business.
08:49 - Those two prison sentences were part of my journey.
08:51 I'll never go back to prison.
08:53 - And if he does, it ain't gonna be with me.
08:55 So I just wanna let people know, like,
08:57 don't listen to outsiders.
08:59 If you're happy, you're happy.
09:00 If you're with that person, you're with that person.
09:02 (upbeat music)
09:05 (upbeat music)
