00:00 Every click brings different stories and memories
00:03 of a digital mirror photo booth
00:06 that really made an impact on Filipinos.
00:09 If that's the case, let's find out this morning
00:12 the inspiring story of a photo booth business owner
00:16 who is Ezra Kitching.
00:18 Let's go to Negosyo.
00:20 Photos can connect us to our past.
00:25 It reminds us of people, places,
00:29 feelings, and events that happened in our past.
00:33 Because of that, we will meet a photo booth business today
00:38 to find out their secret to a successful business.
00:42 Ms. Ezra, can you tell us more about your business journey?
00:51 How did you start with photo booth?
00:53 Actually, we started because
00:56 we were looking for a side hustle
00:59 because we were laid off from our side job.
01:02 We needed a double income.
01:04 So our savings, we put it on this idea.
01:08 If you don't mind, how much is your capital for this?
01:11 For the mirror itself, it's Php 150,000.
01:14 Can you share with us your journey,
01:16 your struggles and challenges along the way,
01:18 and how was the reception of people
01:20 when you started this business?
01:22 Some people view our Facebook ads
01:25 but since I don't have an existing client,
01:27 they get confused and think I'm a scammer.
01:29 So I'm very thankful to a company
01:33 that started or believed in us and booked us.
01:36 So from that, we've been able to continue booking
01:39 since we have a sample client.
01:41 Wow.
01:42 So with the capital you spent, Php 150,000,
01:46 did you get your ROI?
01:48 Yes.
01:49 Just in a span of?
01:50 Two months.
01:51 What do you plan with your business now?
01:53 I'm planning to sell mirror photo booths for other areas
01:56 since we cannot cater other areas outside Metro Manila.
02:01 We can open this one to sell it to other people
02:05 that want to start a photo booth.
02:06 So that's nice because you're also creating
02:08 a job opportunity for them, right?
02:10 Did you face any challenges doing this business?
02:13 It's very challenging since I have an 8-hour job.
02:17 Time-consuming and also you need your creativity for this one.
02:20 So how do you manage your time?
02:22 Since you're also employed and at the same time,
02:25 you're very hands-on in this business.
02:27 Yes.
02:27 I do it after my 8-hour job.
02:30 Sometimes when we are in traffic,
02:32 I'm designing our templates and have it sent to our clients.
02:36 Are there any tips that you would like to share?
02:38 First is also do your research.
02:41 Because as we planned this one,
02:43 we do our research for three months.
02:45 I looked for a suitable camera for the software,
02:49 what application I will use for the templates,
02:54 and also if I have sources that I can use
02:57 if I can't make the templates.
03:00 Also, I handle the marketing.
03:03 You're also partnered with your boyfriend
03:05 here in this business.
03:06 Yes.
03:07 Is that an advantage?
03:08 You don't fight, right?
03:10 Of course, you're also a partner in life.
03:12 You don't fight, right?
03:13 Or is it more fun?
03:15 We do fight,
03:17 but it's more fun to do business with my partner
03:20 since he has the strength and I have the mind to do this one.
03:24 Wow. So at least join forces.
03:26 Ms. Ezra, why is it important for our business partners
03:29 to negotiate with the Filipino people?
03:32 One income is not enough
03:34 for the inflation rate right now.
03:38 So it's important that you have a side hustle to save
03:42 for the future and also for emergency cases.

03:50 There are many trials in life.
03:53 What's important is that you don't let these trials defeat you.
03:59 That's the lesson that Ms. Ezra Kitching shared with us.
04:03 We will continue to look for inspiring business stories
04:07 and business tips that we will share with you.
04:11 So let's go! Let's do business!
