00:00 Welcome into Bama Central courtside. I'm Blake Byler joined by Matthew Gibson.
00:04 We are here at the Pavilion at Ole Miss after Alabama's 103 to 88 win over the Rebels.
00:10 This game was kind of crazy, honestly. Alabama had a...
00:14 Alabama was down by 14 points early in the first half. It kind of looked like everything was going wrong.
00:20 Alabama kind of looked a lot like it did against Kentucky defensively.
00:24 But then Alabama fought its way back, built a... what were they down, three?
00:28 They were down three at the half. Three points at the end of the half.
00:32 And then the second half Alabama's offense kind of exploded. You saw a huge game from Gavin Cosby.
00:36 A redshirt freshman came off the bench, kind of filled that role that Latrell Reitzel has been missing.
00:43 The kind of third guard behind Mark Sears and Aaron Estrada. He had 15 points.
00:46 What did you see from Cosby tonight and how did it help Alabama? How did they build off that?
00:52 Yeah, I mean with Gavin I think the catch and shoot ability has always been there.
00:54 And obviously he hits 5 of 10 shots in downtown and just a great game from him.
00:58 Alabama's really been looking for that spark off the bench ever since Latrell Reitzel went down with that concussion.
01:03 And for him it's an all-around great performance.
01:05 And then you have Aaron Estrada. A triple-double. 18 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists.
01:09 He's the first since Tyra Lewis. I mean just an all-around great performance from the Alabama backcourt in a time they desperately needed it most.
01:15 Absolutely. Aaron Estrada, Nato's has said a couple times this season that they've been trying to get him the triple-double.
01:21 But he said during... after the game that during the game he didn't even know he was close.
01:25 He was just out there playing the game, letting the game come to him. And that's the result you get.
01:29 18-10 and 10. He also had 4 steals.
01:31 Nato just talked about how kind of the middle 8 minutes of the game, the last 4 minutes of the first half,
01:37 the first 4 minutes of the second half was some of the best defense that Alabama played today.
01:41 Which I totally agree with. They were turning Ole Miss over even if they weren't necessarily forcing a ton of misses.
01:47 They were getting turnovers, running out, transition.
01:49 Really solid win for Alabama. It sets up a very big game in Coleman Coliseum on Saturday.
01:55 College game day will be there. It will be Alabama against No. 4 Tennessee.
01:59 Both teams sit at 12-3 at the top of the SEC standings.
02:02 The winner is going to have a strong hold on that one spot as the SEC regular season championship gets closer and closer.
02:11 But that's going to do it for the Alabama Central Courtside. Thank you so much for watching.
