00:27 [END PLAYBACK]
00:37 So we are here, handling the anniversary.
00:41 It's very young, our proclamation,
00:47 and also the historic of CELAC.
00:49 So the signature of this emblematic document
00:57 of the 33 countries of the region
01:00 that was held in Havana.
01:02 Only the will of everyone will make it possible,
01:09 but also effective.
01:12 This means hope for a million of people,
01:15 which brings to our concern is a survival
01:18 in a difficult world that is surrounded by violence.
01:24 But peace is a right of every people.
01:28 It's a condition, a fundamental condition for human rights
01:35 and the right, the supreme right, to life.
01:39 Regions in the world need peace, resources
01:44 to confront the real enemies of peace--
01:49 hunger, poverty, climate change, and the lack of resources
02:00 that is needed most of the population in the world.
02:03 So we defend peace.
02:12 That also means that we must stand
02:15 before the coercive measures imposed
02:18 by other countries that pretend to act like judges
02:24 against the sovereign countries.
02:28 They must respect the right of every people
02:30 to choose their path to growth in economic and peace.
02:39 So it is essential to preserve peace.
02:43 It is a need to get to an understanding,
02:47 to debate in a respectful way, and see our differences.
02:53 I remember 10 years ago when the head of the revolution, Raul
02:58 Castro, with the condition of the pretemporary president,
03:04 they affirmed the proclamation.
03:06 So the unity that we proclaimed was very necessary,
03:15 and we did it.
03:17 But it was not just in that home.
03:22 It was a very important document that
03:25 is still alive in this moment for the world and our people.
03:29 So all the countries that are in the region are here right now.
03:40 Would we benefit before the differences?
03:46 We need conversation, dialogue.
