00:03 All right, let's move on here.
00:04 Bryce Harper is, to me, if you look at his stats,
00:07 there's just a bulk right there in the top to the middle where it's just all home runs.
00:11 This is one of my favorite players currently.
00:13 30.5 is the number.
00:15 I'm gonna say yes and just leave it at that,
00:18 just because I think this is who Bryce Harper is.
00:21 With that said, Joe, I'll let you expand.
00:23 >> Hard yes for me too.
00:26 I think 30.5 is way too low.
00:27 This is one of the best numbers on the board.
00:29 Last year, Bryce Harper rushed himself back.
00:32 Let's not pretend like he didn't.
00:34 And that was my big concern that I said this guy was supposed to be out for
00:38 more than half a season.
00:39 He came back well, well before that.
00:41 And the power did suffer because of it.
00:44 As the season went on, he got healthier.
00:47 Things came back, that lineup got better.
00:48 Philly did its usual Philly flourish at the end of the regular season,
00:52 gets into the playoffs and does Philly things.
00:55 But Bryce Harper right now qualifies at first base.
00:58 It's a player that I think you're seeing the market is dipped on him a little bit.
01:02 But I think that's really unfair because you are talking about a player that
01:06 in 2022 just played 99 games last year played 126 games.
01:09 So now there's this concern is like, is Bryce Harper breaking down?
01:12 No, the breakdown already happened.
01:14 You know he's tough as nails already.
01:16 This is an easy number, isn't easy over for me.
01:19 Right now the projections number has him at 29.
01:22 But again, I think that's flat out wrong.
01:24 When you're looking at historically when he's healthy, it's 2021,
01:28 35 homers, 2019, 35 homers, 2018, the 34 homers.
01:32 Do you see a trend here, boys and girls?
01:35 Because when this guy is healthy, and he is right now,
01:37 he's gonna obliterate this number.
01:39 So to me, this is one of the best numbers you can get on the board right now.
01:42 I would take it.
01:43 I don't feel very comfortable with getting Bryce Harper at the turn.
01:46 I think you'll love getting Bryce Harper.
01:47 And if you told me Matt, that Harper at the end of the day,
01:50 outpaced Aaron Judge because of the judge injury concerns,
01:55 that wouldn't be shocking either.
01:57 So keep that in mind when it comes to salary cap leagues,
01:59 when people might be up bidding on Aaron Judge,
02:02 and under bidding on a guy like Bryce Harper.
02:04 Bryce Harper might be the better return on your investment
02:07 in terms of dollar spend than Aaron Judge.
02:10 Because at the end of the day, we're talking about a guy with 35 to 40 home run
02:13 potential anyway.
