00:30 David is a certified Swift.

00:33 He first met Taytay at her Red Tour concert in Manila 10 years ago.

00:37 Actually, I have a lot of friends who messaged me saying,

00:42 "Wow, you're a fan?"

00:43 "Hey, are you really a fan?"

00:46 "Why are you a fan of Taylor Swift?"

00:48 Because for them, Taylor Swift's songs are really feminine.

00:53 But I like those songs.

00:57 The "Never Ever Ever" and stuff like that.

01:01 But the highlight of his Sydney trip wasn't just the concert.

01:05 He also got to see his brother and new niece.

01:09 I visited him for a day.

01:10 My first niece was already out.

01:15 It was fun to hold the baby.

01:17 Now that he's back in the Philippines,

01:19 David is more inspired in his work.

01:22 It's been raining in Manila

01:24 In his singer era, we visited him for his rehearsals

01:28 for the Sparkle Goes to Canada concert tour.

01:31 David will be with the other half of BARDA, Barbie Forteza,

01:35 and the real-life Sparkle couples Julian San Jose and Raver Cruz,

01:40 Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali.

01:43 They need to prepare their performances well,

01:47 especially when the show is directed by Sparkle GMA Artist Center consultant,

01:52 Mr. Johnny Manahan.

01:53 It wasn't an easy task because I'm not a singer.

01:59 But I'm trying my best to show it to overseas Filipino workers abroad.

02:09 David is also back to taping the upcoming family drama, "Pulang Araw,"

02:13 where he's playing a Japanese soldier, Hiroshi.

02:18 It's challenging to learn Japanese because of the different tonality.

02:25 But I think it's a good challenge for me.

02:29 I would say this is the hardest role that I've ever played.

02:36 So I'm just super excited because it's very dramatic.

02:38 David is also busy with taping.

02:40 One of the things that he's busy with is playing basketball

02:45 because he has a dream that he wants to fulfill.

02:49 I went back to my passion.

02:52 For me, I still want to pursue playing basketball professionally, hopefully.
