00:00 This is a $6 million investment to support the rebuilding, redevelopment of a purpose-built
00:07 Royal Flying Doctor Service facility right here in Launceston where we need it. They can then
00:13 access all of Tasmania to deliver the health care that Tasmanians need when they need it.
00:18 The new site will be a significantly enlarged floor plan which will have
00:22 greater operational space, enhance patient facilities, crew rooms. The operations will
00:28 be based fully on the ground floor connecting both the RFDS teams and Ambulance Tasmania
00:34 workers with the new upstairs addition allowing for the service of RFDS Tasmania Primary Health
00:40 Care programs which will share spaces with Ambulance Tasmania staff and allow for enhanced
00:46 crew-ready sleeping quarters to allow staff to be able to remain on site 24/7.
00:52 It's a facility that Tasmanians deserve and need and we look forward to progressing it later this
00:57 year. I think too it's wonderful to receive support from governments but it also backs up
01:06 our community who are just so generous. So many Tasmanians, so many Australians contribute
01:11 significantly to the RFDS and I think it's good for governments to see that
01:17 because they know the RFDS is an organisation that's supported by so many Tasmanians.
