Lancashire's police and crime commissioner Andrew Snowden with an update as he's out and about in the community listening to residents' views
Transcript
00:00 Hi, I'm Andrew Snowden, Lancashire's Police and Crime Commissioner and I'm out and about
00:05 in the community today because actually a lot of people don't realise that the role
00:09 of Police and Crime Commissioner is elected and it is to be your voice in policing. It's
00:15 why I do these weekly update videos, it's why I get out and about across the county
00:19 as much as possible to listen to your views, to what your concerns are, what your thoughts
00:25 are about policing and to be able to put them into action. You tell me what more visible
00:29 policing presence you want, you want antisocial behaviour dealt with, you want drug dealing
00:33 and criminal gangs dismantled and you want dangerous driving tackled. You can follow
00:38 the updates if you follow these videos of all the things I'm working on, all the investment
00:41 I've secured from government but it's only by getting about in the community, by touring
00:45 Lancashire like I do, by talking to people that I can do it. So thank you to all of you
00:50 who fill in my surveys, thank you to all of you who have met me at public meetings, who
00:54 have stopped me in the street and talked to me when I'm out and about. I just want to
00:58 use this weekly video to say I am your Commissioner and I thoroughly enjoy this job and being
01:03 your voice. So don't ever hesitate to get in touch, to contact me at the office, our
01:08 details are online if you look at them, through our social media channels or at events that
01:13 I do because I can only be the public's voice in policing if I listen and talk to you, the
01:19 public.
