Can Liverpool cope without Mohammed Salah if he departs in the summer?

A big question that could be answered in this years’ summer window.

00:00 Mo Salah, as you mentioned there, have Liverpool shown this season that they can cope if Mo Salah leaves in the summer?
00:08 I know they've had some very late wins and very close games without him in the side,
00:13 but have they shown that they can cope without him if he is to go in the transfer window?
00:19 Yes, it would be interesting what does happen. Obviously, a year left on his deal in the summer,
00:24 and will Jürgen Klopp depart from the club? Will that be the final point of the way?
00:30 Mo Salah thinks, 'I think I'll leave now and let Liverpool start a new era without me and without Jürgen Klopp',
00:38 because the success they've brought to Liverpool has been immense, hasn't it?
00:43 Mo Salah has played two games for Liverpool this season. The first one on New Year's Day in Newcastle,
00:51 when he came back from injury against Brentford and made a goalscoring impact.
00:58 Liverpool have coped well without him. Obviously, Kavi Elliot has stepped up to the plate,
01:03 particularly on that right-hand side. I always thought Elliot was better midfielder,
01:10 but he's slowly convincing that he can do it. On the right, maybe he might prefer playing midfielder.
01:17 I don't know. He's still only 20/21, so to pigeonhole him in a position now would be wrong,
01:23 because he's still so young, just by his experience at such a young age.
01:30 But certainly, the results that Liverpool have been picking up, yes, they haven't been as emphatic as you'd like,
01:35 they haven't put teams to the source as often as you'd like, late goals, etc.
01:40 But Liverpool, at some point, are going to have to cope without Mo Salah. Maybe they are showing ways to win,
01:48 but if Mo Salah wants to leave in the summer, then he'd probably want another winger in.
01:54 But it depends what manager comes in to replace Jadon Clough and what his ideas are.
01:58 I don't think anyone will be pushing Mo Salah out of the door. I think he's widely regarded as one of the best players in Wales.
02:06 If he comes and says to the new manager, "I'm right behind you," then you'd be a fool to not be delighted.
02:13 But in this period, yes, I think if Mo Salah is futuristically talked about to get him come the end of the season,
02:20 maybe we just park that for now. Maybe it's a bit disrespectful for him because of what Liverpool are going for,
02:26 but obviously you're going to have to have that in your minds as well.
02:28 But Liverpool have certainly, in this period, done well for Octatalis.
