00:00 Will and looking at their star man Mohamed Salah, obviously by his numbers it's not been
00:06 quite the incredible season that we've seen him post some unbelievable numbers under Jurgen
00:12 Klopp. Obviously the end of Klopp's reign, there's questions whether it might be the
00:15 end of Salah's as well in a Liverpool shirt. What's the latest you can tell us? Obviously
00:19 a bit of a falling out at West Ham as well, maybe on the touchline. But does that sort
00:25 of maybe symbolise that it could be the end of his time here? How are the fans feeling
00:32 as well? Do they really want the Egyptian to stay? Yeah, it's been a difficult one because
00:37 the statesman at West Ham, obviously he'd been dropped to the bench in the Merseyside
00:43 derby for a while. He was pretty anonymous, gave the ball away that ultimately led to
00:47 Everton's second goal. Didn't do a lot in the game, put a couple over the bar. He's
00:51 been in poor form since he's returned from the African Cup and Asians and injury really
00:56 and then he obviously aggravated his hamstring again when he came off the bench, probably
01:00 sooner than expected away at Brentford. That's obviously contributed to it and maybe it's
01:07 just feeling the effects of pretty much being available for every game that Liverpool have
01:13 had in the seven years he's been in the club. But back to that West Ham incident, you were
01:18 looking at it, it didn't look great on the sides of the pitch and then obviously what
01:23 happened in the mix zone after it where he said there'll be fire for Speakey. When Jürgen
01:27 Klopp tried to put the fire out, Salah's stoking the flames really. But now what's coming out
01:34 of Liverpool is that Liverpool don't want to sell him this summer. Even though he's
01:40 got a year left on his contract and there was Salah's interest last summer, everyone
01:45 probably expected Mo Salah to have interest from Sardey again. But is that Liverpool saying
01:54 well no we want to keep him because they don't want to drive a price down? If you say he's
01:58 not part of our plans then clubs are going to say well you want to get rid of him so
02:02 we're going to try and lowball you. It's interesting because Michael Edwards who's back at the
02:07 club now as well, he was a key figure in bringing Mo Salah to Liverpool from Roma. I think he
02:13 actually had to persuade Jürgen Klopp to go with Salah, maybe ahead of a couple of
02:17 other wingers and that's big. He's clearly got an admirer in Michael Edwards. Liverpool
02:22 will be looking at the situation, of course they will. They'll be looking at why his form
02:27 has dipped lately, why not even performances but goals also dried up as well. Liverpool
02:35 will be looking at all the data etc, what they've got available to them. But I think
02:42 maybe we have been too quick to judge him because he has been so good for seven years.
02:46 Maybe we're too quick to say he's having a poor patch. He's 32, he's finished, he's in
02:52 impeccable shape isn't he and players we know play for a lot longer than he used to. So
02:57 maybe we've just got a little bit ahead of ourselves by saying that maybe he is on a
03:03 downward curve and it's just a dipping fork.
