00:00 SportsFest with Rick Harowitz, another $1.3 trillion business of sports with your daily
00:05 numbers game.
00:07 Beginning of spring training, beginning of profit.
00:09 Atlanta Braves, first time they crack the $600 million barrier.
00:15 They're up $52 million from last year.
00:17 And guess what?
00:18 That's a 9% increase, higher than it's ever been.
00:22 Why?
00:23 Well, they talk about Truist Park, talk about increasing concessions, merchandise sales,
00:28 sponsorships, and television revenue whose increases have kicked in automatically.
00:33 What it also means is that it has an opportunity to generate even more dollars, and it means
00:40 that the Atlanta Braves, who have been mired in excellence that nobody noticed over a period
00:45 of time, are now generating the revenue that they claim they deserve, along with other
00:50 teams.
00:51 More money?
00:52 Some say, especially agents, more money available for players.
00:56 Professor Rick Haro, Daily Numbers guy.
