00:00Sunday night, it is a playoff rematch from the opening round
00:07between the Detroit Lions and the LA Rams. That was a three
00:10and a half point line. It was a win for the Lions but no
00:13coverage. 2423, your final score. Game did go under.
00:16Tonight's total is 52 and a half. Expectation is points,
00:20points, points but I'll start us off. This is my favorite side
00:24of the day. I'm on the LA Rams plus four and a half year. I
00:27know Aaron Donald retired. I don't think year over year,
00:30this spread should move another point in favor of the Rams and
00:33again, that was a game the Lions didn't cover. They were
00:36out gained by nearly 100 yards. Sean McVay is six and one
00:40straight up in week one in his career and the Lions haven't
00:44won their home opener since 2019 which means they haven't won
00:48it under Dan Campbell. I love the Los Angeles Rams plus four
00:52and a half. Speak to me brother because I love it. I love the
00:55four and a half as well. Here's here's the reason why I like the
00:58Rams and I just don't like the Rams in regards to this matchup
01:00Kev. I like them big picture. Ten and seven football team last
01:04year. We saw Matt Stafford live up to expectations. They had a
01:07five and a half win total at the start of the year because of
01:10health issues. Kyron Williams came on. Thousand yard rusher
01:14Puka Nukuwa, a star in the making along with Cooper Cup
01:18and now you add the defensive pieces even though they lost
01:21Aaron Donald in regards to retirement. You add Jared
01:24Verse, a dynamic playmaker coming off the edge. His
01:28teammate as well. Fisk very good in terms of run support.
01:31This defense I believe is going to be a top ten unit at the end
01:35of the regular season. I think they have better upside than
01:38Detroit. I'm expecting regression out of Detroit now
01:41that they're hunted in regards to the NFC and keep an eye out
01:45right now Donnie. Thirty to one for Matt Stafford. MVP odds.
01:49Fourteen to one as a dark horse to win the NFC. I'm all in
01:53tonight and big picture on the Rams. I'll tell you what's nice
01:55about this game though from a Rams look is that looks like
01:57Puka Nukuwa is going to be a starting wide receiver with
01:59Cooper Cup healthy to start the season. We were worried about
02:02that as we're entering into it saying you know what that knee
02:04injury for Nukuwa maybe missing some time. Looks like he's going
02:06to be good to go which is great and again Matthew Stafford back
02:08on his old stomping grounds. Two dome teams here. The 52 and
02:11a half does make sense. The only thing I question sometimes
02:14is usually the month of September guys, I love to take
02:16overs because I just don't think the defense is there just yet.
02:18The offense is healthy and it's humming. They have quarterbacks
02:21aren't all beaten up yet but we've seen so much sloppy play
02:24in the Thursday and Friday night football game. Could those
02:26deep balls, those flags, holding penalties call it back.
02:29The reason I bring that up is I love the offensive line for
02:31Detroit. I think it's the best in the NFL and I think that I
02:34don't know if we're going to take a step back. The reason I
02:36bring this up for you Joe because it could happen
02:37honestly. We had a great season last year. It's tough in the
02:39NFL to keep that going but the fact that you bring Ben Johnson
02:42back as your offensive coordinator, that continuity
02:44right off the bat should be there and so many times you guys
02:47hear me, the Cincinnati Bengals, the camaraderie is
02:49terrible because nobody knows if they're out there. Omar
02:51St. Brown, he's not worried about his new contract. Jared
02:54Goff, he's not worried about that either. Still have the
02:56running backs in the backfield healthy for game number one. I
02:58just look at it and say to myself, I like where Detroit's
03:00at. The four and a half is a good number but I'll go against
03:03you guys. I think that Detroit wins this football game.
