00:00 Here we are, it's Oscars week. How does it feel to be part of a nominated film?
00:04 Like a dream. Like a whimsical, monumental dream because, you know, if Killers of the
00:13 Flyer Moon cinches any of the ten nominations and Lily, for that matter, wins, she's the
00:18 first indigenous actress to win an Oscar and maybe even so more monumental if more than
00:26 one of the awards is won. It feels like a dream. It's really cool. I'm from Canada,
00:32 so I'm just here hanging out and everybody's been so lovely. It feels like a dream. Yeah,
00:38 I like went to film school ten years ago, fifteen years ago, and now it's what I wanted
00:45 to do. And now I'm here and it's like, pinch me, is this like even happening? It's so crazy.
00:52 What's your favorite memory of working on the film?
00:57 I think probably just the camaraderie between the cast, getting to know Lily and Janae and
01:05 Kara and I've always wanted to meet and work with Tantoo Cardinal, so getting to meet and
01:09 work with her was like a dream come true. And yeah, Leo and Bob and Marty, so nice,
01:15 like the nicest men.
01:18 What's been the highlight of this awards season journey for you with Killers of the Flyer
01:21 Harmon?
01:24 I would say probably the uprising of the Osage drum group. They're nominated for Best Original
01:33 Song at the Oscars, which is monumental. So I think watching, like this story comes from
01:39 the Osage people, so watching something so sacred to them be brought to the limelight
01:46 with the story that it's being told with is so important and monumental for not only like
01:51 the indigenous community, but everyone that has an interest or like, you know, was curious
01:57 about what might have happened.
01:59 And aside from your film, what's one other movie this awards season that you saw and
02:03 you loved?
02:04 Oh, that's difficult. I did really like Poor Things. Yeah, I like Poor Things. It was so
02:14 unexpected. Emma's amazing. Mark is amazing in it. And it's such a difficult, oh, also
02:22 Zone of Interest. That was amazing, too. I saw that at VIF, which is also amazing. And
02:27 like Sandra Huller and her monologue and that whole thing is so groundbreaking and so descriptive
02:34 of what women might deal with today men, you know what I mean? But yeah, those are my two,
02:41 I think.
