00:00 The Mississippi State men's basketball team has seen a lot of success this
00:05 season and one of the many reasons for this is because of the newcomers who
00:09 have stepped in to help. Among this group of juniors from the transfer portal and
00:14 community college ranks is Jimmy Bell Jr. a transfer from West Virginia, Trey
00:20 Fort from Howard College and Jaquan Scott from Salt Lake Community College.
00:25 Bell Jr. has started over 50 games in his collegiate career and in the six of
00:30 his 13 games as a Bulldog he has recorded over 10 points. Fort found his
00:37 highlights as a Bulldog putting up 21 points against Arizona State and 13
00:41 points against Kentucky before having to miss five games due to a hand injury
00:46 only to return for the matchup against Ole Miss. Last season Jaquan Scott
00:52 improved his average to 16.8 points, 10 rebounds, a one assist and a steal per
00:58 game. After spending his freshman and sophomore seasons at Salt Lake City
01:02 Community College in Utah Scott is still working to see what his career holds in
01:07 the future.
