00:00 - Boys of Kapsabet Boys and the School Fraternity,
00:02 good morning.
00:03 - Good morning.
00:04 - God is good.
00:05 - And all the time.
00:06 - And all the time.
00:07 - God is good.
00:09 - I've come here this morning
00:10 on behalf of President William Ruto,
00:12 an alumni of this great prestigious institution
00:18 of his own kind,
00:19 to bring his condolences
00:22 and that of the government of the Republic of Kenya,
00:25 and I too and my family,
00:27 I want to come and say pole,
00:29 to the School Fraternity for the loss of your teacher
00:33 and one student,
00:34 and again for those who have suffered injuries,
00:38 I am very encouraged that those at the Dorrit Hospital
00:43 are making good progress,
00:46 and we have been assured that they are out of danger,
00:50 and we are sure that they'll be back to school.
00:54 The ones who are in Baringo have also been attended,
00:56 and we are very optimistic that later in the day
00:59 they should be able to join you.
01:01 So we have come here as a government
01:04 on behalf of the President to say pole,
01:06 that is a very big blow to this institution.
01:11 Losing a life of a teacher, a student,
01:15 is a very heavy thing,
01:17 especially for a family like this one,
01:19 because you are one great family.
01:21 We are praying for you,
01:22 for God to give you strength,
01:24 to give you fortitude,
01:26 to come to terms with the sad reality
01:29 of losing a teacher who has been dear to you,
01:31 of losing a student who is one of you,
01:34 and we trust that our prayers
01:38 will be heard by God to give you that strength.
01:41 And even as we prepare to bury the teacher and the student,
01:46 we shall give the support that is required.
01:48 We continue to hold you in prayer
01:51 so that you can be able to go through
01:52 that very difficult stage.
01:54 I have been told about the bus that has been written off,
01:58 and I want to give a commitment
02:01 on behalf of President William Ruto.
02:03 I'll talk to him later in a day,
02:05 and I'm sure there is no doubt
02:07 that the President will give you another bus
02:09 to replace that one,
02:10 so that you are able to--
02:11 (audience applauding)
02:15 You are able to continue with your tours across the country.
