00:02 - Okay, so Kansas got some news.
00:05 One of their better players, Kevin McCullough Jr.
00:08 not gonna play.
00:09 They played without him, so they're used to it.
00:11 But I think that there was some optimism, Bill,
00:13 that maybe he could come back at some point.
00:15 I thought that, if I'm reading this right,
00:17 you'll have to tell me I'm wrong,
00:18 that the announcement is sort of odd
00:20 that with this bone bruise,
00:21 he's been ruled out for the tournament.
00:23 I mean, the Final Four is like a month away here.
00:28 I mean, I guess that's what they're saying for now,
00:29 just to sort of maybe give a boost to the other players,
00:32 maybe thinking, "Hey, look, this kid's not gonna come back.
00:34 "You guys gotta step up."
00:36 But that was my takeaway, at least from hearing this.
00:39 - Oh, absolutely.
00:40 And this is the second straight year.
00:41 Remember, last year, Bill Self had some health issues
00:45 in the Big 12 tournament,
00:46 and it derailed a team
00:47 that was the defending national champion.
00:49 They get bounced in the first weekend.
00:52 And with the line movement,
00:53 Sanford's gonna be a very popular pick in this game
00:56 because of the way they get up and down.
00:58 Their Bucky ball might start trending
01:01 if they get off to a hot start.
01:03 I still think Kansas is going to win that first round game,
01:06 but in that region where there's so many teams,
01:09 you wonder, "Can I trust Kansas?
01:11 "Can I trust Purdue?
01:12 "Can I trust Tennessee?"
01:14 I've been saying all week, Greg,
01:15 it's like a multiple choice test,
01:19 and there's no good answer.
