Mike Bloesch talks about Cal's offensive line
Transcript
00:00 >> 11 guys practicing right now, so they're all in rotation.
00:03 And obviously we know the guys that have played a lot of games,
00:07 started a lot of games around here, and we're gonna continue to elevate their play.
00:11 But we need to elevate the play in the room as a whole and
00:15 get some guys ready to go if we need them.
00:17 So competition, I think, has been really good.
00:20 We brought in a couple transfers to continue to develop that competition in
00:24 the room, and I'm excited about where we're at after two days.
00:28 >> Nick Morrow's the guy that came in as a tight end and
00:30 he had to add a lot of weight.
00:31 He seems to be more prototypical OT size right now.
00:34 How's he doing?
00:35 >> Nick's doing great.
00:35 I'm really, really impressed with his offseason and
00:38 really just his last year since he's been here.
00:41 I think he's gained about 50 pounds since he's been here.
00:44 He's gained a ton of strength.
00:46 He's gained an understanding of what we're doing offensively.
00:48 So I've been very pleased with where he's at.
00:52 >> You brought in Rush Reimer, I guess is how you pronounce it.
00:54 How's he doing?
00:55 >> Yes, he's doing good.
00:56 He's doing good.
00:57 So just two practices under his belt, but
00:59 he is another guy that's played a lot of football.
01:01 So you're not having to coach some of the things that you have to coach
01:05 freshman offense alignment with.
01:08 We're really just straight into scheme, technique,
01:10 fundamentals of how we do things here.
01:12 >> Is he a guy who can play a couple spots or where do you envision him?
01:15 >> I do, we've got him working inside right now.
01:17 But we're gonna definitely take a look at guys in different places and
01:21 at the end of the day, just try to get our best five players on the field.
