00:00 Hi, I'm Megan, a reporter for Sussex World, and these are the top stories from across the county for today, Friday March 22nd.
00:08 West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to a boat fire on Chichester Marina last night.
00:13 A spokesperson for the fire rescue said, "Joint fire control mobilised two fire engines from Chichester, one from East Whittering and one from Bognor, to the scene.
00:22 Upon arrival, crews found a boat on fire on the slipway. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a high-pressure hose reel.
00:31 Crews remained on scene, damping down, and used a thermal imaging camera to ensure there were no further hot spots.
00:37 The crews left the scene at around 11pm."
00:40 A warning has been issued to residents after multiple cliffs crumbled in East Sussex.
00:45 Lewes District Council told people to stay well clear of cliff edges and bases following further incidents of cliffs crumbling in New Haven, Peacehaven and Seaford.
00:55 In a statement, the council said, "The cliffs are unstable and can crumble without warning at any time of year. This is a natural process and part of the evolution of the cliffs.
01:05 Always take particular care and keep children and pets close when visiting the coast.
01:10 It comes after a section of the King Charles III Inkland Coast Path in Peacehaven was damaged following a cliff fall in February."
01:18 And finally, Shoreham Academy has retained its outstanding rating after its first Ofsted inspection in 12 years.
01:25 The secondary school in Seaford received the highest grade, in all areas, from inspectors who were full of praise for the deeply invested staff members.
01:33 Jim Coop, Principal, Shoreham Academy said, "We are incredibly proud that our school has once again been judged outstanding.
01:39 I would like to thank the entire school community for their ongoing support and commitment to helping all our students thrive during their time at Shoreham Academy and beyond."
