00:06 More than 100,000 passengers have been admitted to PITX this Monday.

00:16 Pia, it's only Monday, but we have a few fellow countrymen who are returning home from their provinces.

00:25 They had a hard time getting a ticket here at the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange or PITX.

00:31 It's only 9 in the morning and Tess Mendoza is already at PITX.

00:39 She's on her way to Cali, where she'll be returning home early from Camarinesur.

00:42 But she had a hard time getting a ticket for the air-conditioned bus.

00:46 It's full. It's full.

00:48 That's why. Even if it's 7pm, even if I have to wait, I'll just get it.

00:55 Rowena Tagines, however, has no more tickets for her trip to Daet.

01:00 Her mother was just stopped by the dispatcher because she's a senior citizen.

01:04 It's hard to get tickets now.

01:07 So what happened is we were just talking because my mother is a senior citizen.

01:11 So we were just stopped by the Lord.

01:13 Most of those returning home now really struggled to get a ticket to PITX

01:19 to be sure that they'll be able to get a ticket.

01:22 Based on the PITX, the trips are almost fully booked.

01:27 That's why it's better to queue up early or reserve tickets early.

01:33 But they also helped the stakeholders early

01:37 to make sure that the vehicles have adequate supply.

01:40 We have additional buses on standby.

01:43 And the LTFRB promised that they'll issue special permits if needed.

01:47 We have standby units.

01:49 But if they buy tickets at the last minute, we'll have to queue up here.

01:54 So I hope they'll be patient.

01:56 The LTO, LTFRB, MMDA, BNP and DICT also visited earlier this morning

02:02 to see if the PITX is ready.

02:05 Random drug testing was also conducted on 123 drivers.

02:09 Two people tested positive for the confirmatory test.

02:13 The LTO also conducted a roadworthiness test

02:17 to make sure that passengers can be transported to their destination.

02:21 It also reminded travelers that the use of sharp and bladed weapons is prohibited.

02:26 Things that have a foul smell and things that can easily get damaged.

02:31 Some bus terminals in Manila and TAFT in Pasay City

02:35 also forced passengers to travel today.

02:43 PIA as of 9 p.m. earlier,

02:46 more than 127,000 passengers arrived here at PITX.
