00:00 London is a city that attracts around 30 million visitors a year and it's known as quite an
00:09 expensive city to come to. But despite that reputation there are plenty of things to do
00:16 if you're coming to the capital on a budget. In fact, as well as visiting the iconic landmarks
00:21 like Big Ben and Tower Bridge, some of London's most famous museums and art galleries are
00:27 perfect for people travelling on a budget. If you visit the Louvre in Paris or even the
00:33 Colosseum in Rome, you're going to be charged around 15 euros but most museums and galleries
00:39 in the UK and in London are free. Today I've come to the world famous National Gallery.
00:46 The gallery entices tourists from all over the world and the UK as well and it's really
00:52 easy to see why. The outside of the gallery itself is stunning but inside the array of
00:57 artwork is almost mind-blowing. Separated into rooms, paintings from world famous artists
01:04 are on display.
01:05 The gallery does tend to be full all day with quieter times at around 4pm in the afternoon.
01:30 Although it's thought to get busier throughout the summer months as well.
01:44 Other free museums and galleries in London include the British Museum, the Natural History
01:48 Museum and many more. But although the National Gallery is free to get in, you do still have
01:55 to book an entry time on the website. Then visitors are offered a chance to leave an
02:00 additional donation. It really is an incredible day out just by Trafalgar Square in the centre
02:06 of London. It really feels like the ideal place to come and visit. A day you won't forget
02:12 especially because you get it for free and who doesn't love a bargain?
02:16 For those visiting the National Gallery there is a shop at the end where you can pick up
02:35 a souvenir as well.
