00:00As summer approaches very slowly, London News has put together a list of the top
00:06three travel destinations based on current trends and reports. If you're
00:10looking for a budget-friendly European getaway, these destinations offer
00:15incredible experiences without the hefty price tag. All of these places about
00:20to be mentioned were also listed in Time Out's top destinations for 2025.
00:26Number one is Portugal. Portugal remains one of Europe's best valued
00:31destinations. Both Lisbon and Porto offer rich history, vibrant culture and
00:36delicious cuisine at much lower prices compared to other European cities. You'll
00:41find affordable accommodation, budget-friendly transport and
00:45reasonably priced meals as well. Plus Portugal's beaches and wine regions are
00:51great for relaxing getaway without breaking the bank. Number two is Hungary,
00:57specifically Budapest. Budapest is an excellent choice for budget travellers.
01:01The city combines stunning architecture, thermal baths and lively nightlife, all at
01:06a fraction of the cost of other more popular European capitals. Accommodation,
01:11food and transport are all very affordable here as well, but beware it
01:16can get very busy during peak tourist times. And last on the list, but
01:21definitely not least, is Poland. Poland is a top budget destination with rich
01:27history and affordable prices. Krakow and Gdańsk offer stunning architecture,
01:32lively cultural scenes and budget-friendly options for both
01:36accommodation and food. And then there's the up-and-coming neighbourhood Zablocie,
01:42named one of Time Out's coolest neighbourhoods in 2024, a post-industrial
01:47enclave of modern art, galleries, wine tasting and food halls, serving everything
01:53from bao buns to artisan burgers as well. Now each of these destinations has their
01:58unique charm, but make sure to research these places yourself to see if they're
02:02right for you. But if money were no object, where would Londoners go on
02:07holiday in 2025?
