00:00 Extremely worrying developments overnight. I condemn Iran's actions just
00:05 as I've condemned all and every regional escalation and that's why for six
00:11 months I've consistently been calling for an immediate ceasefire. There is not
00:17 going to be a military solution to the conflict that we see in the Middle East.
00:20 There's only going to be a political and diplomatic solution and we know that
00:25 violence begets violence and therefore it's imperative now that the
00:31 international community demand, not request, but demand that all parties
00:37 abide by UN security resolutions such as a call for an immediate ceasefire. We
00:42 can't afford to see any further loss of life because innocent civilians have
00:46 already paid far too high a price for the actions of a number of countries and
00:52 and therefore we need to see de-escalation as opposed to further escalation in the region.
