00:00 center all right fighters you've been given your instructions in the dressing room I expect you to
00:04 obey all the commands from the New York State Athletic Boxing Commission respect the sport
00:09 respect the rules but most of all guys show respect for each other tough club come out
00:13 Pat Sullivan reading the instructions both these fighters trained by Mike Stillati
00:21 Ronnie Reyes coming in with a record of three and oh one knockout you heard the loud ovation
00:25 he got here from the fans traveling 30 miles east from Manhattan to Huntington New York
00:32 and looking to improve to continue on what's been a stellar early part of his professional
00:40 career his opponent Marcus the Finesse Kid Polo the Finesse Kid bows in the blue and silver trunks
00:48 two and three out of Roxborough North Carolina and we are underway in the lightweight division
00:55 here from the Paramount Theater our third bout underway and so far the early tenor is sent by
01:03 Marcus Bows another young and up-and-coming fighter here Danny and Ronnie Reyes in the black and gold
01:15 yes these guys are paired up pretty good here you tell they're both in good shape
01:21 both have good movement if you notice a lot of punches being thrown already
01:27 and keeping the distance and hitting the marks not a lot of feeling out here Bows the longer reach
01:43 checking in at 132 pounds Reyes at just north of 129 pounds
01:48 Reyes's corner is telling him to stab move move move
02:01 landing a shot to the body of Bows
02:10 action settling down just a little bit you can tell the adrenaline these two boxers had coming
02:14 out of the gate punches being thrown Bows trying to set the early tenor Reyes responding with some
02:24 flurries and with some explosive shots of his own he's got some lightning quick hands hasn't seen
02:31 very early on here in round number one this one slated for four rounds as the boxer just under a
02:37 minute to go in the first frame. Now Bows just comes off as another one of those fighters that
02:53 again we talk about the matchmaking that's done between a I don't want to say veteran he's had a
03:01 lengthy amateur career not so much at the pro level to this point but you can tell the style
03:06 of fight it's the type that will really test a rising prospect in the likes of Arani Reyes.
03:12 Absolutely I mean I'll tell you what I think he's doing a pretty good job in there
03:16 for a guy with a two and three record of course he's just getting started you know two and three
03:22 is not you know something to be totally totally concerned about but the point is he looks better
03:29 than a two and three fighter I can tell you that especially coming up against a kid like Reyes.
03:34 Time winds down in round number one we'll be back for the second round on Fight Night Live.

05:47 Get a look at Arani Reyes as action resumes round number two here at the Barrowmount Theater.
05:53 Sadiq Faruqi alongside Danny Chavon fighting at light and Joe Gaudio star boxing
05:57 Friday night's Rockin' Fights 46. We are now in our third bout featuring Arani Reyes
06:05 three and oh coming in tonight's action and Marcus Bose in the blue and white trunks
06:14 as impressive is Bose here to start round number two very upright in round number one landing the
06:21 better of the punches good clean combinations as Reyes, Arani Reyes, Danny really trying to
06:27 find his rhythm in this fight. He really is, Bose is taking him out of the fight a little bit
06:32 insofar he's a lot more active his hands are moving a lot more.
06:43 You know we talk about matchmaking and if you could educate our audience a little bit more what
06:47 goes on when it comes to matchmaking when you have again another rising prospect like Arani Reyes
06:53 what do they look at when they see someone like a Marcus Bose and again you consider the elite
06:58 competition he's faced forget the record the competition he is faced and they decide this
07:03 is a good matchup for a prospect like Reyes. Well you know styles make fights Sadiq and basically
07:10 these guys you know matchmakers will look at what kind of styles are going to promote the best kind
07:17 of a fight and you know because let's face it sports is entertainment and you want to get the
07:25 most out of it so these guys are even though Reyes has the better record the undefeated record so far
07:33 these guys are pretty evenly matched right now I think and you know this is this is a good
07:40 competitive fight so far. Bose has taken a couple of big clean shots from Reyes here in this round
07:46 but has remained completely upright he's thrown more punches so far but Reyes finally now starting
07:54 to connect just a little bit but Bose showing some moxie showing some savvy very much upright
08:01 despite some clean shots to the face. Well you know this is the thing you know Reyes has connected a
08:07 few times here and it slowed Bose down a bit now he's holding but the point being is is this is that
08:15 again you know he started off strong but Reyes is starting to find his mark a bit. Shot to the back
08:23 of the head says Pat Sullivan. Reyes stumbled just a little bit. But he catches Bose clean with the left
08:34 to the face. That hurt him. And now Reyes looking to go to work. Bose looks a little bit stunned
08:41 staying upright you hear the chants of Ronnie Ronnie. That took a lot out of him.
08:47 And Bose going to be saved by the bell here in round number two but Ronnie Reyes heating up
08:55 feeling it here in round number two especially in that latter end of round number two you can
09:03 look at him now smile on his face some confidence opening up here against his opponents Marcus Bose.
09:10 Yeah that was a strong finish by Reyes.
09:14 I think it was that shot right there that clean left to the face that really changed things.
09:21 That hurt him absolutely and again you know quickest way to have somebody stop
09:28 punching is that person getting hit. Shot to the back of the head.
09:34 Right there short compact like a hook.
09:40 Yeah he's gaining some confidence for sure.
09:46 See the confidence you see the swag you see a smile on the face of Ronnie Reyes in that
09:56 second round went on and when that bell went off he knew he had Marcus Bose right where he
10:02 wants him. As we begin things here in round number three three of four.
10:06 In this lightweight bout.
10:11 Ronnie Reyes rising lightweight prospect again points to the back of his head.
10:21 Sporting a record of three and oh going up against an opponent that has shown a very hard head
10:28 in a Marcus Bose. Bose said in the early tenor in round number one
10:33 but Reyes in the last round. Oh that was a right spot and now starting to exploit.
10:39 You hear the thump from here on that one.
10:44 Oh
10:46 Reyes has some explosive speed and some pops in his mix.
10:55 And Bose very well aware of that now. Yeah Bose is standing very erect.
11:03 Well now he's down lower but uh he's getting hit when he's most of the time when he's a big left
11:11 chance shot and Bose stumbled just a little bit but as you said Danny still upright on his feet.
11:17 But you hear that pop that explosive pop. Yep.
11:23 Off the gloves of Ronnie Reyes. He's got heavy hands.
11:25 Every single shot you could hear that pop.
11:37 Oh there's a nice shot and down he goes. It seemed inevitable.
11:47 Pat Sullivan looking over to the corner and out of the count.
11:54 Bose not done just yet. He beat the count but let's see what happens.
11:59 Let's see how much that took out of him. Those body shots are devastating.
12:03 Ronnie Reyes trying to settle this one here in round number three.
12:12 Big swing with the right just unable to connect.
12:15 Now working body, body head, working the angles. Now he's teeing off.
12:22 Showing the speed and power. Dangerous combination in the midst of Ronnie Reyes.
12:30 As he tries to finish this one off he has just under 20 seconds remaining in round number three.
12:35 Bose someway somehow still on his feet.
12:52 And again Marcus Bose saved by the bell. A dominant display by ruthless Ronnie Reyes
13:01 here in round number three and more exhibition of that speed, that power,
13:07 sheer pop that you and I Danny are hearing from from ringside.
13:12 Absolutely and again you can see the confidence level in Reyes just growing.
13:17 He knows where he's at with this guy now. He knows that he's found his mark
13:22 and he's throwing punches with authority. He's not just flipping out a jab.
13:29 Those punches each one of them are hurting type of punches.
13:34 Get another look here this one from round number three.
13:41 So that vicious, vicious another angle that shot connecting with the upper hand
13:47 with the uppercut. Now you can tell right there Marcus Bose thought about it,
13:52 thought about it and then decided all right I need a break.
13:54 Take as much time as you can take. What he got up give him that.
13:58 Bose has showed a lot of heart, showed a hard head.
14:04 Got the last round here. Let's see what happens and how much it took out of him that last round.
14:13 To Reyes dominated.
14:16 Bose tries to empty out the tank.
14:23 Whatever he has lay it out here. That'll be boxed in the fourth and final round.
14:30 But now Reyes goes to work. Big shot there by Bose.
14:39 Landed the side of the head of Reyes.
14:42 Tell you what it looks like he has pretty good recuperative powers. I'll tell you that
14:47 because he took a lot of good shots in that last round and he's still coming out aggressive.
14:56 He is here the sheer pop every time Reyes connects you just hear it.
15:02 Yep.
15:04 Reyes trying to go to the body trying to break down Bose.
15:08 Shots to the body. Bose just gets out of that.
15:11 You can tell Bose is tiring out. How many more shots can he take?
15:15 Reyes recognizing that, exploiting the vulnerabilities along the body.
15:31 Under 90 ticks to go here in the final round.
15:34 Reyes trying to set up Bose again going body, body, head.
15:46 But Bose a little sly on the defense there.
15:50 Bose is having a hard time keeping Reyes off him now.
15:59 Reyes wants that knockout. Boxing with under a minute to go here in the fourth and final round.
16:04 You know the thing about Bose I'm just noticing is that you know he throws a lot of arm punches
16:16 in other words meaning that he's not getting his body into those punches like Reyes does
16:21 where we talk about the pop. You're not hearing the pop even when he does connect with Reyes.
16:27 Bose continues to work.
16:29 Reyes trying to reverse positions trying to put Bose along the ropes.
16:36 Bose is trying to stay upright trying to get this one to the cards.
16:43 He's taken a lot of shots, endured heavy beating in round number three but has somehow managed to
16:53 stay on his feet or at least continue to fight. He did go down in round number three.
16:58 We'll step away we'll return with the decision for this one.
17:08 Yeah.
17:09 All right.
17:23 So
17:36 so
18:00 so
18:26 so
18:54 so
19:12 Does he get a look there at Marcus Bose.
19:19 Getting a lot of respect here from the Huntington crowd for staying through this and getting this
19:24 fight to the cards after the beating he took from ruthless Ronnie Reyes. Well again he came here to
19:31 fight there was no question about that he was just outmatched. Reyes showed me a lot in this fight
19:40 and again another newcomer to watch for. Just awaiting the scores now
19:49 as I think we are set we're going to go back into the ring with the decision
19:55 with the ring announcer Mark Prado.
19:57 Ladies and gentlemen let's get a big Long Island round of applause for these two warriors
20:06 trading for four rounds here in the center of the ring. We now go to the judges scorecards for Max
20:12 DeLuca, Kevin Morgan and Gunnar Smirkowski. Each scored the contest 39 36 in favor of your winner
20:21 by unanimous decision and still undefeated from the Lower East Side of New York City Ruthless
20:35 So the inevitability of Ronnie Reyes having his hand raised tonight
20:40 an absolutely dominant display sort of a little bit methodical in round number one.
