00:00 >> The crew chief for the number 48, Alex Bowman, Blake Harris, a relatively calm day
00:04 at talladega.
00:05 I'm going to call it how we saw it.
00:06 But atop the pit box, fuel strategy, a lot of different strategies and scenarios came
00:10 into play.
00:11 How did you call this one today?
00:12 >> Yeah, there was a lot changing.
00:14 Obviously that pit cycle where the Toyotas crashed kind of caught us out.
00:19 I think we maybe could have made it, but we knew it was going to run wide open to the
00:23 end.
00:24 And if that had happened a lap before, then we'd be sitting empty and be in a bad spot.
00:28 So Alex did a really good job of staying, missing that last wreck.
00:32 It felt like we couldn't go anywhere for the last 20 laps, just kind of stuck on the bottom.
00:37 But he stuck to it and, yeah, was able to sneak a top five out of there.
00:40 >> I know you guys haven't had a win yet this season, but momentum has been turning in the
00:44 right direction.
00:45 Some strong finishes this past month.
00:46 Where's this 48 crew?
00:47 >> Yeah, I mean, last six, seven weeks I've been super happy with our speed.
00:52 To squeak a top five out of here, you know, maybe a little on the luck side, I'll take
00:55 that because we've had a couple weeks where we've certainly had top five cars and not
00:58 got that finish.
00:59 Just, you know, some situations that popped up here in the race.
01:02 So yeah, I feel like we brought top five speed the last six, seven weekends, really.
01:08 So to get one here, feels like we got one back maybe from a few weeks back.
01:13 But really excited to carry this momentum.
01:16 Dover and Kansas, really good tracks for Alex.
01:18 He loves them.
01:19 Put a lot of time into our Dover cars.
01:20 So we're looking forward to getting there and carrying the momentum.
01:22 >> Thanks, Blake.
