00:00 It's no surprise a recent survey ranks LS16 as the most popular postcode for people to
00:07 move to in Leeds. With the area covering far headingly to Bramhope, it's home to the Addle
00:12 Dam Nature Reserve, Bedquilts Recreation Ground and York Gate Garden. We visited a few times
00:18 recently with Bramhope crowned one of the most desirable areas of Leeds to live, and
00:23 Astarn in Addle being featured in the Good Food Guide 2024.
00:27 We headed to another LS16 gem, Goldenacre Park, to find out what makes it so special.
00:33 We come to Goldenacre probably five times a week, during Monday to Friday, generally
00:38 with, always with the dogs. So it's an easy walk around with the dogs.
00:42 We've just walked from Crag House Farm, which is part of LS16. So that's a really nice walk,
00:47 you can do a loop from there over to Goldenacre.
00:50 We're from LS8, so we park the other side of the park and do different routes.
00:55 But yeah, we do different sections of the park. So yeah, we come regularly. Yeah. But
01:00 yeah, it's a nice up and coming area, I think, especially the Addle part of LS16.
01:06 I'm on my lunch break with my dogs. So it's just a nice area to come and switch off and
01:10 take in all the views, the nature, the trees and the fresh air, get away from the traffic.
01:16 I've come to visit my Auntie Maureen. And I find there's loads of parks and loads of
01:21 walks. And you've been here how long?
01:24 We've been here about 18 months and wondered what we were coming to with all the hills
01:29 of Yorkshire. But found the walks absolutely delightful. We can do a different one every
01:35 day. We try to do about three a week, about eight miles. And Goldenacre Park is great
01:41 because you've got a variety, we like bird watching. So we can do bird watching as well,
01:46 or we can do a longer walk. We can even walk from Beanwood, which is about four miles away
01:53 from here. You can walk directly through on footpaths by the river and come right up at
01:57 Goldenacre Park.
