00:00Our story begins in 2021, when 5 acres of unused land in the heart of our village, Dafrinadidwi,
00:14was sold by Cyngor Gwynedd. It was bought by the social housing provider, Adra.
00:29We began transforming land in September 2021. The first field was cleared of bracken and
00:36made into 28 allotments opposite the village hall.
00:53Surplus produce is donated to our vegetable stand, where we have a donations box and this
00:58year we raised over £200.
01:19With funding from Keep Wales Tidy, we have set up an apiary with three hives and a group
01:25of volunteers are looking after this space. In another field, we have created Blodeiwed
01:31wildflower garden, which also includes a pond and raised beds. Last summer, we celebrated
01:37a wedding here.
