00:00This week I was invited to try out the new brunch and lunch menu at Hickory's

00:04in Hutton. I went along with my friend who wishes to be known as my dining

00:08companion. The staff did know that we were coming so service was very

00:13attentive and of course we got the complimentary popcorn and water at the

00:17table. We also ordered a grape soda and a lemonade. The new lunch and brunch menu

00:23is extensive and everything is available until 2 p.m. We both opted for something

00:28we'd never had before. I went for the ultimate XXXL muffin and my dining

00:33partner went for the chicken fried waffle. In no time at all the food was

00:39there. Mine was everything I could have asked for. It was juicy, cheesy, massive.

00:45The seasoned tater tots were amazing and there was a pot of what I assume was

00:50some kind of bourbon gravy although that wasn't on the menu and I like mushrooms

00:54but if you don't that could be a bit of an issue. My dining partner she said she

00:58enjoyed the chicken waffle. It was succulent and tasty but a little bit on

01:02the sweet side for her. We also got a side of mac and cheese which was

01:06completely unnecessary but why not it was brilliant and completely Moorish and

01:10for dessert yeah we shared a churros and chocolate dessert which was light,

01:16crispy, sweet. That was absolutely one to recommend.
