00:00Maybe RM100 a month is not a big amount for many people

00:06but it is very meaningful for Minah Senawi

00:09who is dependent on the uncertain sales of cakes and crackers.

00:14The 63-year-old woman often worries about financial limitations

00:20to be able to make a capital turnover.

00:23I don't have any capital.

00:26Minah's request for financial support was granted

00:30and for 12 months, she felt relieved

00:33because she knew the burden she was bearing was a little less.

00:39I was relieved. Thank God I could buy things.

00:42I got help.

00:43I didn't buy anything. I just bought flour, oil, sugar, and crackers.

00:50I didn't have to buy anything at all.

00:55SARA is a continuation of the Tunai Rahmah Donation Initiative

00:59under the 2024 budget

01:02to meet basic needs such as food,

01:05self-cleaning, medicines, and school equipment.

01:10Minah said she was lucky

01:13because she did not fail to register for IKC

01:16under the Department of Administration of the Prime Minister's Office.

01:21It's a month's salary, around RM400,000 to RM500,000.

01:32But if I don't want it, I can't do anything.

01:39SARA's aim to ease the burden of more individuals

01:45began to be implemented in increments starting on 2nd January

01:49and is expected to benefit more than 700,000 recipients

01:57SARA recipients will be credited with RM100 a month

02:02and goldsmiths without a partner

02:04while RM50 a month for the Bujang group.

02:08While in Sabah, Sarawak and the province of Labuan,

02:12SARA will be distributed twice a year

02:15which is RM600 for household

02:17and goldsmiths without a partner

02:19while RM300 for the Bujang group.

02:24An economist from the University of Technology Mara,

02:26Muhammad Idham Muhammad Razak said,

02:28SARA's assistance gives a sense of safety and dignity to the recipients

02:32when they always feel supported by the government.

02:37In continuation, Idham said,

02:39SARA can help to get the people out of poverty,

02:42reduce income gaps,

02:45as well as revive the country's economic growth.
