Texas Rangers Spring Training Takeaway Series
Transcript
00:00The MLB will push the start of their season back eight weeks in compliance
00:04with the CDC's recommendations. But even without games, Sports Illustrated's Chris
00:09Halleck is going to keep fans excited for the start of this season. Chris, when
00:15it comes to the Rangers, what do you have up your sleeve? Well, we're gonna be
00:19without baseball for quite a while, along with every other sport, and that doesn't
00:23mean we can't still talk about it. You know, spring training did happen. At least
00:27a certain amount of spring training happened, and we finally got a
00:32chance to get our eyes on, you know, things like the starting rotation, the
00:37internal competitions at first base and the bullpen, and some
00:42developments that happened, like Isiah Conner Falefa having just an
00:45absolutely blazing spring training where he was, you know, tearing the cover off
00:50the ball. So we're gonna take a look at all that stuff. We're gonna take a look
00:54at those internal competitions. We're gonna take a look at, you know, position
00:57by position and, you know, how things were looking going into the season, how
01:00they were faring, you know, throughout the spring. Ringo Adore had a really good
01:05spring training, so we want to take a closer look at that and what that means
01:09when the season does finally start to pick up. So we're gonna be looking at
01:14that, so be on the lookout every day for the next article in this series, and
01:18I'm excited about it, and I'm excited to be talking about baseball and not just
01:22about the COVID-19 and everything that's been going on right there. I want to
01:26talk about some positive things, and obviously love talking about baseball.
