00:41 Understand that it's like space, pervading everywhere.
00:46 Realize the one.
00:51 Understand that it's neither fire nor air.
00:58 Realize the one.
01:00 Understand that it's neither earth nor water.
01:04 Realize the one.
01:06 Understand that it neither comes nor goes.
01:11 Realize the one.
01:13 Understand that it's like space, pervading everywhere.
01:17 Realize the one.
01:30 So what is being said?
01:33 You tell me.
01:34 It is said that all differences in all forms in everything, realize the one.
01:51 It means that whether you are seeing this or that, you continue
02:21 to firstly see the essence of this and that.
02:31 Fire and water, earth and sky, black and white, hot and cold, pleasure and pain, coming and
02:43 going.
02:44 These are pairs of dualistic opposites.
02:54 Whenever we look at a thing, we look only at the surface of the thing.
03:11 We look only at the form of the experience.
03:18 So if one looks at a tree or a pillar, one looks only at that.
03:29 One says this is a tree or a pillar.
03:38 Higher than just looking at the object of consciousness is to look and remember the
03:57 two ends of consciousness parallelly.
04:05 There is one mind that looks only at the tree.
04:08 There is another mind that looks parallelly at the tree which is the object and subject
04:19 the viewer, the mind, the person.
04:29 So one mind which looks only at the material, another mind which looks at the consciousness
04:34 which is the basis of the material and then another mind which looks at the source of
04:46 consciousness itself.
04:48 How does it look at that?
04:50 By being there, by being calmly there.
04:54 So even as it looks at various things, it is still very calm.
05:02 So nature of consciousness is movement, not stillness.
05:08 Consciousness moves along with the object it looks at.
05:23 Awareness is stillness.
05:31 In awareness even if one is looking at the various objects around, yet he is still.
05:41 This is what is meant by looking at a thing as well as the essence of the thing.
05:51 The essence of everything is a still mind.
05:57 So even as there is an object in consciousness, even as there is the subject and object in
06:03 consciousness, even as there is the passage of time in consciousness, one is not passing
06:09 away along with all this.
06:12 One is not coming and going away along with all this.
06:16 One is essentially still.
06:22 That is what is meant by remaining sky-like even when there are clouds, stars, suns, moons
06:40 and all the objects of the world in the sky.
06:47 And the sky has all of them, but one is not attached to or identified with, enamored with
07:01 any of those objects.
07:05 One is rather one with the sky.
07:08 The sky is the essence of all objects.
07:17 The spiritual mind then sees in two dimensions parallelly.
07:28 In one dimension it looks at the gross form, name and such things just like everybody else.
07:40 So it will say it is of this color, it has this shape, this size, it is moving.
07:45 It will perceive all those things.
07:49 In another dimension the spiritual mind is a non-perceiver.
07:57 It is not perceiving anything.
07:59 It is kind of asleep or you could say that this sleep is the highest wakefulness.
08:13 It is simply at rest.
08:15 It is simply at rest even if it is observing tremendous change outside.
08:22 So lot is changing outside yet this mind is not changing with the changing objects.
08:32 It is still.
08:38 That is what is meant by realizing the one or remembering the one.
08:47 Realizing the one, remembering the one simply means that you remain the one.
08:56 You do not realize the one by having a separation with the one.
09:03 You do not remember the one as a memory.
09:08 All those are dualistic processes.
09:14 In deep non-duality, in the deepest oneness, you realize by being one with the realized.
09:26 You remember by being one with the remembered.
09:31 So if you are remembering peace, you are remembering peace by being peaceful.
09:40 If you are remembering emptiness, you are remembering emptiness by being empty and clear.
09:49 That is what the tatva is saying.
09:52 Look at this, look at that but remain free of this and that.
09:57 So now you are doing two things parallelly.
09:59 While you are with this and that, that is one thing, you are still free of this and
10:07 that, that is the second thing.
10:09 There are these eyes that will look at this and that and there is another eye which will
10:15 look only at freedom, the truth, parallel vision.
10:26 This is a beautiful way of living.
10:31 To look at the form and the formless together.
10:36 To look at the manifestation and the poor together.
10:41 To look at the limited and the unlimited together.
10:46 What does that mean?
10:47 That means one looks at the limited as the unlimited.
10:56 You see we said there is only one way to look at the unlimited which is to be the unlimited.
11:03 That is the only non-dual way.
11:06 Otherwise we are again talking of the same dualistic way of looking at objects.
11:11 That is anyway going on in one dimension.
11:13 In the other dimension the looking is non-dualistic.
11:19 So here you have to be one with what you are looking at.
11:22 You are looking at the unlimited, you are unlimited.
11:25 Being unlimited now you are free to look at all that is limited.
11:37 Does all of this mean that you cease to look at limitations?
11:40 No.
11:41 When you look at limitations you perceive them.
11:44 When you look at limitations you look at limitations as the limited one in the dualistic way of
11:50 looking.
11:52 The limited eye looks at the limited tree.
11:57 But even as the limited eye looks at the limited tree, the unlimited in you remains with the
12:03 unlimited.
12:09 Only in the heart there is a sense of fulfillment, contentment.
12:16 The heart is not saying that I am looking out so that I can get something from somewhere.
12:23 It is already alright.
