00:05 >> I'm Stephanie Chris, husband and wife.
00:07 We live in Spillsby.
00:08 This is our business, Bagel Blinders, which is a Peaky Blinders film bagel shop.
00:13 What cuts us above everyone else, as you can see on the walls,
00:16 everything is freshly made.
00:17 All the breads are freshly baked.
00:19 We do traditional salt beef, smoked salmon.
00:21 And there's not a single price on that ball that we will be beating anywhere in
00:24 town.
00:25 >> Why did you choose that name?
00:28 >> Peaky Blinders fanatic.
00:30 >> [LAUGH] >> That is the short and long of it.
00:32 >> [LAUGH] >> And you're local, so
00:36 is this a completely new venture for you?
00:38 >> No, I've worked in places like this down south, and
00:40 I've worked in the school in the local area.
00:42 It's a new venture for Stephanie.
00:44 She's not into the catering until now, which is why she's being taught by me, but
00:46 I've been in the catering for 20 years.
00:49 I've worked in places like this on and off, various establishments, but
00:52 this is what's been left.
00:54 This is the creation of 20 years experience from this one's brain.

01:04 >> So what's the secret of a good bagel?
01:07 >> Freshness, that's the key, as you can see.
01:10 [BLANK_AUDIO]
01:14 Freshly baked this morning.
01:15 >> You bake your own, do you?
01:17 >> Yeah, they all come in as raw dough, and then they're pre-baked.
01:20 [BLANK_AUDIO]
01:30 >> We're outside Bagel Blinders with some characters from Cheeky Blinders.
01:44 How's it going here?
01:45 I would imagine people might be tempted to buy
01:51 a bagel with your help today.
01:54 >> We've got the whole, we've got the whole bread, we've got the whole bread,
01:57 we've got all sorts of pie, whatever you like.
02:00 Oh, but tell them, tell the people.
02:02 >> There's a lovely menu here.
02:03 Any bagel, I don't think there's a bagel that they don't do.
02:08 >> Yeah, there is.
02:09 >> So get yourselves down here, buy all that at the Peaky Blinders.
02:13 >> Now, for people who don't know, and I guess there aren't many of them,
02:18 who are your characters?
02:20 >> I'm Alfie Shelby, the oldest brother, probably the craziest brother I've
02:25 ever spoken to.
02:26 Yeah, he sometimes loses his way a little bit, but
02:31 he's quite a lovable character, lovable rogue, really.
02:34 And then we've got Alfie.
02:37 >> Alfie Solomons, not so lovable, but people do seem to like him, don't they?
02:42 >> Yeah, a bit of a wheeler dealer.
02:44 >> Yeah, business can't be so good for you, though,
02:47 if you're having to hand out flyers in Skegness.
02:50 >> Oh, no, my business is booming.
02:53 Business is booming.
02:54 Seize every opportunity, that's what it is.
02:57 That's what it is, mate.
03:00 >> Steve, a new shop opening at the Hildreth Centre.
03:03 It's a good day, isn't it?
03:05 >> Wonderful, absolutely fantastic.
03:08 Loads of people about, all having good fun.
03:12 And Chris and Stephanie, I mean, congratulations to them.
03:15 They've done such a brilliant job, they really have.
03:19 >> And they're local as well.
03:21 >> Yes, they're from Scothby.
03:24 >> Yeah, so you're hoping that people get behind and shop local?
03:28 >> Yeah, nice local business.
03:30 It's just wonderful, just seeing people going in there and
03:33 enjoying the food, all fresh.
03:36 >> So how is the Hildreth Centre looking for the new season?
03:39 >> It's really good.
03:41 We've got one vacant unit left.
03:43 We've got a tug on it at the moment, so I'm hoping that's gonna go this week.
03:47 So we'll be fully let, which is very unusual for
03:50 shopping centres these days.
03:52 >> And busy?
03:54 >> Yeah, really busy.
03:55 Footfall's up, sales are up, so we're doing okay.
03:58 Looking forward to a busy season.
04:00 >> Mr. Mayor, you just tasted a wrap.
04:04 What's the verdict?
04:06 >> Yes, I feel like I'm in the theater now.
04:09 I take a wrap or something, they always say.
04:11 So really, this is a new place.
04:14 I'll tell you something, they're fantastic, these wraps.
04:17 I've never really had one before, but the manager,
04:21 I think he's the manager of this, has actually made it for me.
04:26 Really, really delicious.
04:27 [BLANK_AUDIO]
04:31 >> How was that?
04:33 >> Absolutely delicious.
