Transcript
00:00Welcome to Mabden, so this is Scotsman Golf Correspondent here coming to you from the Royal Prune
00:07where I'm attending a media event ahead of the 152nd Open here in July.
00:14As you can probably tell it's a breezy old day on the Ayrshire coast.
00:19We've just played the first seven holes into the teeth of a really strong wind
00:25and let's hope that wind is blowing during the Open
00:28because it certainly makes this golf course a very, very interesting test day for the guys and all of us.
00:34We're standing under the tee of one of the best holes in golf, the iconic postage stamp.
00:41It can play 123 yards, that's the longest it can play,
00:45but it can also play 99 yards from this forward tee to a front pin position
00:51and the chances are that will be used during the 152nd Open.
00:57It was announced today that the attendance for that is going to be 250,000 up to 73,000 up.
01:05The attendance here in 2016 is a staggering increase, but it just shows you how popular the event has become.
01:14It was always popular of course, but the demand for tickets is through the roof.
01:19To keep up to date with everything in the build up to the 152nd Open and in the golf world,
