00:00Hello, I'm Rosalind, Food and Drink Editor for The Scotsman and I'm at new Glasgow venue,
00:06The Noble, to try Scotland's best bacon roll.
00:09The Noble is the seventh venue of the Super Latif collection, who also own Duke's Umbrella
00:14and Ghost, and opened on 19th February on Bothwell Street.
00:19It's billed as a reimagined classic British pub, with beautiful interiors and a menu that
00:24spans breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails, as well as teas and coffees.
00:29What we're sure to catch the attention of most people is the breakfast menu that includes
00:33Scotland's best bacon roll, which comprises a Frieden Bakery buttered milk bun, with thick
00:38cut smoked bacon, bacon jam and slow cooked pork belly.
00:42Chef John Malloy has created this meat packed version of a breakfast classic, which is truly
00:47delicious, and on his recommendation, made even better with the addition of brown sauce.
00:54The bacon jam and roll give sweetness to the meat and the pork belly brings some texture
00:57and richness.
00:59While traditionalists may argue you can't beat a Morton roll in bacon, this is a great
01:03addition to the menu and an excellent start to the day.
01:07The Noble is now open at 16 Bothwell Street in Glasgow.
