00:00 Hello, well depending on where you're waking up this morning you're either going to see
00:04 some bright sunshine or it's going to be a bit of a cloudy start and fairly damp too.
00:09 Now why is this? Well we currently have a waving frontal system draped across the UK
00:13 which is bringing an influx of cloud and some damp weather. But to the far north of this
00:17 feature there will be plenty of dry weather and later on in the south too. But low pressure
00:22 is never too far away as it moves closer towards the UK for the start of the weekend.
00:28 Back to today though it will be a fairly cloudy picture with some outbreaks of rain across
00:32 southern parts of Wales, central and southern England and parts of East Anglia and this
00:36 will be heavy at times too. Some showers feeding into the north of England and southern Scotland
00:42 too and these also heavy at times and you may also hear the odd rumble of thunder. Gradually
00:47 clearing up across the south allowing some brighter spells to develop and across Scotland
00:51 plenty of warm sunshine on offer. And with temperatures in the low teens, high twenties
00:56 that means it will be feeling warm and pleasant where you do catch those sunnier spells. Now
01:02 into the evening the cloud and rain from the day will gradually move its way northward.
01:07 Still once again could be heavy at times as it does so but it does allow plenty of clear
01:11 spells across the southern half of the UK and with light winds we may also see some
01:15 mist and fog develop. And under those clear skies as well it's probably going to be feeling
01:19 a little bit chillier compared to recent nights. But elsewhere and across the northern half
01:23 of the UK under that cloud another mild night on offer. So to start the weekend then a bit
01:30 of a north south split across the UK. A slightly chillier start across the south and once any
01:35 mist and fog clears plenty of sunshine developing. But across the northern half of the UK there
01:41 will still be plenty of cloud around. Still some outbreaks of rain and this a little heavy
01:45 at times particularly across high ground across Scotland. And the south doesn't completely
01:50 escape the wet weather as we are expecting some showers outbreak towards the afternoon
01:56 and these once again could be heavy. But there will be some dry weather across parts of Wales,
02:00 northern England and in between any showers. And once again with those temperatures in
02:04 the mid to high teens it will be feeling pleasant where you do catch the sunshine. Now as it's
02:10 the bank holiday weekend I'm sure you're keen to find out what the weather will be doing.
02:14 Now forecast detail at the moment is low fairly low confidence. But what I can tell you is
02:19 that it will be unsettled. There will be some showers and some further longer spells of
02:23 rain. But there will be some dry weather as well and with temperatures still in the high
02:27 teens it will still be feeling warm in that sunshine too. But don't forget you can always
