00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Thursday morning. The weather
00:04remains settled for most places through the next 48 hours and the reason why high
00:09pressure really dominating things. However through Thursday into Friday
00:14it's drifting towards the east as low pressure moves in from the west. It's a
00:19slow process and certainly through Friday we'll see cloud around just
00:22skirting the western side of the UK but this high will decline and eventually
00:27through the weekend we'll see more clouds, some stronger winds and the
00:31chance of rain or showers. Let's pick up on the detail though through this
00:35morning. It's a chilly start even with a touch of frost and also one or two mist
00:39and fog patches across Scotland. Northern Ireland again could see a grass frost
00:43first thing. Further south it's a bright start to the day, a bit cool outside. One
00:48or two showers coming in from the northeast on that keen breeze but a
00:53better feel to things relative to the last few days and not a lot of change as
00:57we head through today. So the sunshine could turn rather hazy as the mist and
01:01fog clears through the first part of this morning. A similar situation for
01:05Northern Ireland where there could be a bit more of a breeze, breeze coming in
01:08from the south. So feeling quite pleasant as we head through the afternoon in some
01:13sunshine, a mix of cloud and sun right the way through to the end of the day.
01:17Temperatures then 15 to 17 degrees Celsius and we've lost this thing in the
01:21wind towards the southeast. Now through Thursday evening and overnight a few
01:26things happen. First of all temperatures will take a tumble. It's going to be a
01:29chilly night yet again. Away from the west where the cloud will thicken we'll
01:32see outbreaks of rain. So a bit of a damp start to the day across Northern Ireland
01:36and western Scotland with some showery bursts. Elsewhere on Friday it's a fine
01:40day, some mist and fog first thing but a lovely afternoon to come. Dry across
01:44eastern and southern parts of Scotland as well. Temperatures 16 or 17 degrees
01:48Celsius. That's the high clearing towards Denmark. Here's that low pressure coming
01:52in. It's fairly slow but it will mean the winds will pick up and there will be
01:56various fronts bringing with them cloud as well as showery bursts of rain
02:00through Saturday and into Sunday. But as I said it is a bit of a slow process so
02:05through Saturday this is your outlook. Yes there'll be some brighter skies
02:09around, always more clouds towards the west as well as the northwest and always
02:13the chance of some showery bursts from time to time and your outlook through
02:17Sunday. A slow-moving weather front bringing clouds, some rain but also some
02:22showers. The cloud could break at times. Temperatures slightly higher as well.
02:25I'll see you later.
