Fog patches to start should lift and clear through the morning, leaving sunshine widely across the UK throughout the day. Rain across northwest Scotland should gradually ease through the afternoon. – This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the morning of 09/05/24. 00:00 Good morning, welcome to your latest update from the Met Office. Could be a bit of a foggy start for some of us once again
00:05 But that should lift and clear and give way to another day of sunshine
00:09 However, the exception being across northwestern Scotland where a weather front has moved in overnight
00:15 That will bring some persistent rain particularly through the morning
00:17 But it should dry up and become a little bit brighter into this afternoon elsewhere, though
00:21 It should be a dry fine and a fairly warm day warmer than yesterday
00:26 In fact temperatures could climb towards 23 24 degrees across parts of England and eastern areas of Wales
00:32 but into the high teens across Northern Ireland and
00:34 Much of Scotland away from the far north later on
00:38 Now that weather front will continue to pivot around to the north of the UK throughout this evening
00:43 We could see some mist and fog developing once again across coastal areas of England Wales and Scotland particularly across the west perhaps across
00:49 Northeastern coasts as well
00:52 But most of us should see another dry night to come tonight and it's going to be another mild night particularly in
00:58 Urban areas but in rural areas you could just get down into single figures
01:04 So it could locally be a bit of a chilly start
01:06 But I think most of us will see a mild start to the day and there will be plenty more
01:12 Sunshine to come on Friday the sunshine could be a little bit hazier than it has been lately through Friday
01:17 Particularly through the morning and there could be a bit of cloud that bubbles up across England and Wales as you can see here that
01:22 Could give way to a couple of showers, but I think most of us should stay dry on Friday
01:27 So another dry and fine day and it's going to be an even warmer day
01:30 Once again highs of 25 degrees are possible
01:32 What widely will be into the low 20s across England Wales and up towards parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland as well?
01:39 So a very warm feeling day temperatures will rise even further into the weekend as well
