Where is the cheapest pint in London?

We head on a tour of London to find the cheapest pint in London.

00:00 Well, would you believe it, it's the May Bank holiday weekend.

00:06 Now normally the sun is shining and everyone will be out on the hunt looking for a beer

00:10 garden but the weather isn't looking too good this week and I myself will be looking for

00:16 a place to sit inside.

00:19 And we've all been there, out with your friends and it's your round next, the anxious wait

00:24 to see how much is on that card reader, especially when you're out in the capital.

00:29 Fear not because London World has sent me on a mission, a tour of London to find the

00:35 cheapest pint in the capital.

00:37 So let's go, come with me.

00:47 Now I know what you're thinking, there's not going to be any cheap pints in zone 1 and

00:51 you're kind of right, stay tuned for a surprise at the end.

00:55 But there is in zone 2.

00:56 I'm at the tarman on Caledonian Road where I've heard a pint is available for £3.50.

01:10 Now we're not going to get any cheaper than £3.50 but we might get close so I ventured

01:15 to East London in Hackney at the Hackney Church Brew Co.

01:19 Yep that's right, beer in a converted church and holy moly they have some cheap beverages.

01:40 I have to say although the tarman was great it's very cool to settle down for a cheap

01:45 round here but there is a twist.

01:48 Disappointingly their £3.50 offer is only available on Thursdays so while it serves

01:53 up a great deal I wish I'd have known that before coming on a Friday because my day just

01:58 got a little more expensive.

02:00 So it might not be one for the bank holiday but it's definitely a place to head to on

02:04 a Thursday.

02:09 Now on that subject, remember I said you couldn't get cheap pints in zone 1?

02:14 Well that might not actually be true, here at the Spit and Sawdust you can bag yourself

02:20 a pint for £3.50 as well between 7pm and 9pm on a Thursday.

02:25 And if you're feeling peckish you can also head down here on a Wednesday where you can

02:29 get a plate of tacos for £3.50.

02:33 So there you have it, it is possible to find a cheap pint in London but it's not easy and
