00:00Welcome to WatchMojo and today we're counting down our picks for the most powerful, cool
00:17and interesting quirks in the world of My Hero Academia.
00:33If there's one thing we know for certain, it's that Miriko really knows how to hop
00:37to it.
00:52Much like other appearance-altering quirks, Rabbit gives the No. 5 pro hero all the physical
00:57attributes of, you guessed it, a rabbit.
01:01Honestly, it sounds a bit lame – until you see Miriko in action, that is.
01:12No matter if they're top-class villains or impenetrable nomu, Miriko's kicks can
01:17grind any adversary into dust bunnies.
01:20With this quirk up her sleeve, she can skip leg day any time she wants.
01:25Clearly, Rabbit has her covered.
01:28You know the saying, you are what you eat?
01:32Well, Sun Eater's quirk takes that idea and runs with it.
01:44When he eats takoyaki for breakfast, he has octopus fingers by lunch.
01:49Now multiply that by every food imaginable, and it's no wonder Sun Eater is one of UA
01:55High School's big three.
01:57His abilities stack, too.
01:59On any given day, Sun Eater can march into battle with a bird's wings, a horse's
02:04hooves, and skin as hard as a clam.
02:07The world is his oyster – somewhat literally.
02:10Sun Eater's only limited by his own creativity – well, that, and his digestive tract.
02:27No matter if you're behind closed doors or made of titanium, there's no hiding
02:47from a quirk like Folder Body.
02:50It lets the user flatten and morph themselves into any form they desire.
02:55With some ingenuity, pro hero Edge Shot uses it to sneak past security systems, heavy-duty
03:01armour, and even impervious skin.
03:03He isn't one for mercy, either.
03:06Using his ninja-like precision, the hero can fold himself into a needle and slice enemy
03:11organs faster than they can say, ouch.
03:14In the right hands, Folder Body is quick, effective, and deadly.
03:18There's never been a better reason to stay on Edge Shot's good side.
03:35Anyone who says you can't have style and substance has never met Best Geniused.
03:43His quirk, Fibre Master, grants him complete control over any thread-like material in the
03:49vicinity, most notably clothing.
03:52His ability is good for patching up rips in a hero's suit, restraining villains where
03:57they stand, and looking stylish as hell the whole way through.
04:01Best Geniused's superpower is versatile enough to get just about any job done.
04:15Unless you're fighting him in the nude, losing to his mastery of fibre is more a matter
04:20of when, not if.
04:25Sticks and stones may break his bones, but, well, actually scratch that.
04:30Nothing's breaking any part of Red Riot.
04:37With a quirk like Hardening, he can stiffen his body to withstand fists, bullets, and
04:43explosions without so much as a wince.
04:46Trust us, villains have tried.
04:48On the flip side, Red Riot's dense body can pack quite the punch, especially once he activates
04:53his monstrous Unbreakable Mode.
04:56Together, Hardening is the perfect defence and a devastating offence, all rolled into
05:02one simple quirk.
05:12After all, he may not crack under the pressure, but his enemies sure will.
05:19As not a single villain in the world could have an easy time facing Glemillion's intangibility
05:25in battle.
05:26It is not a matter of skill, Permeation is just that strong.
05:38By passing between matter, Glemillion can strike from any blind spot at will.
05:44Counterattacks don't work either.
05:46Glemillion can selectively change his corporeal form in an instant, making him impossible
05:52to hit or dodge.
05:54Permeation takes a serious amount of skill to use effectively, and that just makes Glemillion's
05:59resume all the more impressive.
06:01It's no wonder he single-handedly ranked Class 1-A. This quirk is on another level.
06:15It may not look like it, but Fat Gum has a pretty powerful trick up his sleeve.
06:21Or rather, his rolls.
06:29Turns out his so-called fat is also capable of absorbing and redirecting energy.
06:35In layman's terms, he's a rubber shield that hits back.
06:38Even then, that's just scratching the surface of Fat Gum's overweight potential.
06:44Villains have been known to get stuck in his expanse on more than a few occasions.
06:49That's even better when you consider his special move, Fataxi, lets him hold heroes
06:54in his gut too.
06:56Crooks beware.
06:57No one gets through fat absorption without a fight.
07:14The Iida family are known for many things.
07:16High intellect, an abundance of sidekicks, badass power armor, and quirks that turn their
07:21legs into miniature rockets.
07:31Able to unleash bursts of force from the exhaust pipes on the back of his legs, Iida can reach
07:36incredible speeds, enabling him to literally run circles around his foes.
07:48He's also able to deliver one hell of a kick when the moment calls for it.
07:52One packing more horsepower than a high-end sports car.
07:56Don't take our word for it, Stain's face says it all.
08:17Untold Destruction is kind of Kai Chisaki's M.O.
08:21Unsurprisingly though, he's just as much of a builder, provided he has the right materials.
08:27Thanks to his namesake quirk, Overhaul, the gang leader can break down and reassemble
08:32any kind of matter he puts his hands on.
08:35And we do mean any kind.
08:37Living organisms included.
08:40Considering the destructive capabilities of his quirk, calling Overhaul a mere villain
08:45feels like a serious understatement.
08:59This guy is a walking catastrophe waiting to happen.
09:03We're with Eri on this one.
09:05Overhaul is frightening on principle alone.
09:10Never let it be said that this hard-nosed teacher doesn't care about his students.
09:24Able to cancel out the quirks of others just by maintaining eye contact, the veteran hero
09:30known as Eraserhead is able to instantly disable any incoming threat.
09:36Just so long as he doesn't blink.
09:38Combine that with exceptional fighting skills and a use of capture scarfs, and this homeroom
09:44tutor is easily able to waste hordes of encroaching enemies.
09:58Sure he has to constantly use eyedrops to keep his powers up to par, but we'd say it
10:03was a small price to pay to be able to neutralise a foe with just a death glare.
10:15In a lesser villain's hands, the power to paralyse a foe by ingesting their blood could
10:20be seen as unhelpful and far too difficult to make use of.
10:33Unless of course you're the hero killer, Stain, in which case blood-sipping essentially
10:39becomes an art form.
10:41Due to his incredible agility and mastery of bladed weaponry, Stain has shown that he's
10:46easily able to get himself a sample of an enemy's blood whenever he needs it.
10:58Of course, the far more frightening aspect comes from what happens after he's imprisoned
11:03his victims in their own bodies.
11:14Hard to believe that someone as sweet as Uraraka has such a devastating quirk to her name.
11:30Able to alter the gravity around her, Deku's biggest admirer has shown herself capable
11:35of not only levitating, but also raising up multiple tons of debris like they were balloons.
11:50While extended use can sometimes cause her to suffer terrible nausea, Uraraka's determination
11:56and training has led her to develop her quirk to the point where she can rain down hell
12:02on her opponents, turning any gathered debris into wannabe meteors.
12:15Number 8.
12:17Dark Shadow
12:18Why fight alone when you can have a creature of pure darkness come out to aid you in battle?
12:28Tokoyami's fiendish little friend takes the form of a sentient shadow that he can
12:34summon out of his body at any time, one that can strike out at foes from any and all angles.
12:45While originally weakened by sunlight and becoming uncontrollable at night, Tokoyami
12:50has managed to evolve his quirk to the point that it can take the form of a badass set
12:55of shadow armor.
12:57He may be edgy as hell, but how's that for revelry in the dark?
13:06Number 7.
13:07Fierce Wings
13:08Compared to what other heroes are working with, a pair of feathery wings don't sound
13:14all that impressive.
13:15But rest assured, Hawks isn't the rank number two pro hero for nothing.
13:36Through pure skill, he makes something as simple as flight look positively unfair in
13:41combat.
13:42Although, that's probably because flying isn't actually his full quirk.
13:46Instead, Fierce Wings gives Hawks telekinetic control over dozens of feathers, each of which
13:52can act independently if need be.
13:55As TWICE will attest, they don't tickle either.
13:59Heads up if you see it raining feathers, it's already too late.
14:19Number 6.
14:20Hellfire
14:21As you can imagine, things get a bit toasty when you can summon and manipulate earth-melting
14:27flames.
14:28But what Endeavor lacks in subtlety, he makes up for in pure spectacle.
14:43Hellfire is every bit as overpowered as it sounds.
14:47Let's put it this way, if you value your eyebrows, you'll want to be at least a
14:51few blocks away from Endeavor's prominence burn attack.
14:55His flames will completely incinerate anything nearby, whether they're Nomu, Shigaraki,
15:01or anything else.
15:02With that kind of firepower, there's no question that the Todoroki family runs hot
15:07in more ways than one.
15:21Number 5.
15:22Explosion
15:23Don't let Bakugo's violent nature fool you into thinking he's a one-trick pony
15:28when it comes to his quirk.
15:30This rookie hero knows how to handle his kabooms.
15:43By turning his sweat into nitroglycerin, Bakugo can not only unleash a rapid barrage of eruptions
15:50from his hands, but he's also trained himself to alter their form for any occasion.
16:01He can let off smaller bursts that allow him to take flight, can create a destructive beam
16:07in the form of the AP Shot, and of course, can destroy everything in sight with the unstoppable
16:13magnitude of the Howitzer Impact.
16:24Number 4.
16:25Decay
16:26How fitting that a man whose soul is filled with corruption has the power to rot everything
16:31he touches.
16:39Resident antagonist and hand enthusiast Shigaraki has shown on numerous occasions that all he
16:45needs is just one chance to get his hand on someone, and the flesh just cracks away like
16:50plaster.
16:57Given how he's still yet to show the full force of his quirk, we have a feeling that
17:02it's only a matter of time before the new leader of the League of Villains comes back
17:06with a much more potent way of decaying the bodies of his enemies.
17:17Number 3.
17:18Half Cold, Half Hot
17:20We would say that Todoroki was being greedy by keeping two elemental powers to himself,
17:26but given how he turns every fight into either frozen wastelands or an absolute hellscape,
17:31we can't help but look on in awe.
17:40With each arm acting as a conduit for a specific element, Todoroki has every chance of surpassing
17:46his father's power of hellfire in the all-destruction department.
17:57After all, we've seen him put a small army of ninja blokes on ice, as well as unleash
18:01a firestorm that nearly barbecued Deku.
18:16Number 2.
18:17All For One
18:18To be a terrifying villain in the world of My Hero Academia, you need a look that makes
18:24even pro-heroes evacuate their bowels in fear, as well as a near-unstoppable quirk.
18:37Thankfully for All For One, he has both in spades.
18:41Not only is he able to steal the abilities of his victims and leave them as nothing more
18:46than quirkless husks, but he can freely stack and combine them all at his own leisure.
19:00The result of all this twisted experimentation has allowed the criminal mastermind to knock
19:05even juggernauts like All Might around like flies.
19:33Number 1.
19:34One For All
19:35As if it would be anything else.
19:43Passed down from generation to generation, this all-encompassing quirk grants the user
19:49the strength to stand tall as the symbol of peace, while also smashing the ever-loving
19:54crap out of villains with a plus-ultra punch.
20:04All Might and Deku have both shown just how potent this quirk can be, especially when
20:09combined with their unyielding willpower.
20:26Having only escalated with the handing down from mentor to protégé, we can't wait
20:31to see how Deku plans to one-up the United States of Smash.
20:46Which My Hero quirk would you want in real life?
