00:02 - All right, let's go now to a picture
00:06 and it's a White Sox.
00:07 And a lot of people forget
00:10 that there are 30 teams in the league.
00:11 And just because some, you know,
00:14 a third of them are going to be less than competitive
00:16 doesn't mean that there's value in certain places.
00:18 What do we like?
00:19 - Yeah, well, we like Eric Fetty
00:21 and I know he got beat around a little bit yesterday
00:23 but that's kind of the first time that's happened.
00:26 So I wanna take a bigger picture approach to him
00:28 because yeah, it is the White Sox
00:30 and yes, win potential is going to be limited there for him.
00:33 However, if you look at what he's done so far this year,
00:36 it's been pretty good.
00:37 If you just take away the White Sox label
00:39 and you just take away the name Eric Fetty,
00:41 and I tell you, do you want a pitcher
00:43 over seven games and 39 innings
00:44 and has 41 strikeouts, 14 walks, a 3-4-6 ERA
00:47 and a 1.18 whip?
00:49 You're gonna say, of course I do.
00:51 Well, that guy is Eric Fetty.
00:52 And that whip and ERA are a little higher
00:54 after yesterday's outing, which wasn't great.
00:55 So the good news here is that that bad outing
00:59 is probably going to maybe shy away a couple people.
01:02 Now he's already rostered in almost 70% of leagues
01:04 but if he's out there in a third-year league, go look
01:06 because this is a guy that you can at least play matchups
01:10 with, at least play two start weeks.
01:12 And I think that's really important at the end of the day
01:14 that you start to look at, can Eric Fetty go out there
01:17 and get me points this week?
01:18 Can Eric Fetty go out there in these matchups
01:20 that they have potentially coming up
01:21 and be a productive starting pitcher?
01:24 Quality start leagues will be better than win leagues
01:27 for Eric Fetty because the White Sox
01:28 are not gonna win a lot of games.
01:30 Nor do I think this is something that's gonna sustain
01:32 for six months.
01:33 But right now, Fetty is a pitcher that's pitched very well.
01:36 Put this one start aside, or if somebody's panicking
01:38 because of this one start, well,
01:40 be that new home for Eric Fetty.
01:42 Take him back in the trade where somebody said,
01:44 oh, you know, I picked him off the way wire.
01:45 He's not really starting for me.
01:46 Just had a bad start.
01:47 Let me get out of this business.
01:48 Okay.
01:49 Fetty's one of those guys, again, you take away the name,
01:51 you take away the situation,
01:54 and you just look at the stats,
01:56 and the stats aren't lying so far this year.
01:57 He has been a very solid pitcher,
01:58 the best pitcher on the White Sox.
02:00 And who knows?
02:01 If he keeps this up for another two months, he's only 31.
02:05 There could be a lot of teams lining up there and saying,
02:07 hey, we could use an extra starting pitcher.
02:08 So there are more pitching injuries to come.
02:11 Could a New York Yankees call up the White Sox?
02:14 I mean, there's a lot of situations out there.
02:16 Could the Houston Astros at some point
02:17 call up the White Sox?
02:19 So let's keep that in mind.
02:20 Let's look to the future and realize that Fetty is a guy
02:24 that you probably should roster in the present.
