00:00 So on this lovely sunny day we are going to take a trip down to the hidden lane
00:03 which can be found just off of Argyll Street in Finiston. It's a little community of brightly
00:07 painted brick units and workshops housing a range of businesses from artists, designers,
00:12 musicians as well as a much-loved tea room. There are over 100 studios in this space all open at
00:18 various different points of the week. There's a quite relaxed attitude about it. I walked here
00:22 from Buchanan Street in under 20 minutes and it's easily accessible also by subway and bus.
00:29 One of the first people I spoke to down here, a woman who ran one of the enterprises,
00:33 described the hidden lane as a secret little treasure in the centre of Glasgow which I found
00:37 to be quite fitting. Firstly I visited the antique centre which also sells some vintage clothing.
00:43 There's a huge selection from ornaments to paintings to vintage watches, jewellery and
00:47 trinkets. The man who runs the shop as well seems to be very knowledgeable on his products,
00:52 their origin and the story behind them. I found everything to be quite decently priced as well.
00:58 Then on to the gift shops. They sold some beautiful local handmade art and jewellery and
01:02 because they are independently owned there are a lot of personal touches. I ended up getting a gift
01:07 for my friend. Then there's Rafa's Tacos. This place is very well loved by Glaswegians specialising
01:13 in well tacos. I tried these once and they were very good. Their fish taco is one of the most
01:18 commonly mentioned and they double their shells for more flavour. The tea room is a lovely spot
01:23 for a drink and some food. They specialise in scones but they're scones of the day but also
01:27 serve a full range as well as some delicious looking afternoon tea and a full lunch menu.
01:32 They also have a tea menu with lots of chai options. I got the lavender english breakfast
01:38 tea. There's a record shop, yoga studios, pottery makers and cellars. A whole range,
01:43 you can spend the full morning here or an afternoon. I had a lovely time down here
01:47 and I do recommend any Glaswegian or anyone visiting go and check it out.
